ALDI'S COMING TO ST. AUGUSTINE?
Has anyone else heard that we are getting an Aldi grocery store right next to the new Staples? According to their website you have to pick up a cart in a central location and pay a quarter. When you return the cart you get your $.25 back. I think you also bring your own bags they also only accept cash, debit cards and EBT. I don't think Publix will have to worry about having any competition!

That's great! I was just thinking that was a perfect place for one. I thought I wish we would get and Aldi's, I'd put one right there!
ReplyDeleteOh Judi you are so wrong....Have you ever shopped at Aldi? Apparently not because you will save up to 30-40% over Publix easily. I currently shop at the Aldi in Daytona Beach and live in Palm Coast but I will be shopping at the new store in St Augustine as soon as it opens. Once you've shopped Aldi you'll never go back to those old stores.
ReplyDeleteAldi will be a hit with people that like to save and keep as much as their money as possible without sacrificing taste and selection. If you don't like your money and like to burn it instead or pay for overpriced food then you probably won't like Aldi.
ReplyDeleteJudi you must be smoking crack or something similar. What reasonable person wouldn't want to save 40-50% over Publix?? I would be more than happy to make that extra walk back to the store to return my cart or heaven forbid bag my own groceries. Aldi here I come!!!
ReplyDeleteJust a few reasons to shop at Aldi: 1. smaller compact store to get in and out quicker while buying only the necessities. 2. excellent products superior to name brands. 3. Great German food selection including beers, wines, breads, and pastries. 4. LOW LOW LOW PRICES up to 40-50% off major chains. 5. Did I mention insanely low prices???
