When I was in Publix the other day, the cashier told me that the manager told her the Stouffer's Lasagna was going to be on sale for the next three weeks! Now don't quote me on this because I am only passing along what I was told.

If that is the case you will want to go to and buy several $1/1 coupons for $.12 each. If you still have the TQ for $1.50, you will be getting it for just $1.49 each.

Now I don't know what this stuff tastes like. I always make my own. But heck, for $1.49 it's worth it to have it in the freezer when you are looking for a quick meal!

Whoo Hoo!! It was a great day to come how to a box with my Living Social Booklets.

If you remember, you paid $20 to get $100 worth of $5 off $30 Winn Dixie coupons which you can use at Publix.

Can you see the smile on my face?...because it is there and I am happy to put all of those coupons in my wallet!

I will post the next time this deal is offered. It is a no brainer! Spend $20, get $100 in coupons. Net in my pocket $80!!

There is a new coupon out for PAM for $.50 HERE. Use that coupon and stack with the $1.00 coupon in the Bring The Tailgate Home Booklet and get a can of PAM for about $1.79.

Let's hope there is a sale soon so we can get a better deal on this! The last time I bought it I got it for $.50 can and I stocked up! I probably have about 7 cans left!

I'm not thrilled with that price but if you need it grab it at that price!

PUBLIX 9/29/11, SPENT $2.71, SAVED 75%

4 Fruit Naturals (NOT SHOWN-forgot them at work!)
4 boxes of cereal (did I mention that they were free?)
2 English Muffins
2 Snackwells 100 Calorie Snacks

PUBLIX 9/27, SPENT $24.48, SAVED 71%

With not much to choose from with this weeks ad, I managed to come up with a small trip picking up a few deals. I had to get a raincheck for the Stouffer's Lasagna and the Philadelphia Cream Cheese. My goal was to get what I needed and spend $50 before coupons to use my $5/50 PQ and $5/$30 WD coupon.

But I goofed. I handed her my $3/$30 coupon instead so I jipped myself out of $2.

This is what I bought:

Pillsbury Bisquits
2 Smart Balance Milk
2 Baby Carrots
2 Bags Romaine Lettuce
2 Cucumbers
2 Swanson Chicken Broth
2 Feta Cheese
2 Pic Sweet Family Size Corn
6 Cliff Bars
Spot Shot Carpet Cleaner (thanks to my dog Sophie I had to spend $4.99)
6 Boxes Milk Bones Dog Bisquits

Total Spent $24.48 (should have been $22.48

Then I went to the fruit/vegetable stand on Holmes Blvd. and got the tomatoes and vegetables for $7.45 (first photo). Considering tomatoes are $1.99 per lb. at Stewarts and each one costs about $1.50, I think I did pretty darn good!

Again, Good Housekeeping examined over 100 products in all price ranges from drugstore and beauty supply store bargains to pricer brands sold in salons.

Permanent Hair Color

GOLD WINNER - REVLON COLORSILK WITH UV DEFENSE (3.69 drugstore)This took top honors in lab performance in covering gray immediately and at four weeks. It also scored high marks for fade resistance

SILVER WINNER - Couture Color $30 (Sephora) This was a close second overall. But why would you pay $30 over $3.69??

Demi-Permanent Haircolor

GOLD WINNER - CLAIROL NATURAL INSTINCTS $9 (drugstore) It placed first in the lab for both initial and final gray coverage and for shine reteneion on hair swatches. At home, after using Natural Instincts, testers found their hair color was the likeliest to actually match the color swatch

SILVER WINNER - GARNIER HERBASHINE COLOR CREME WITH BAMBOO EXTRACT $8 (drugstore) This brand got kudos from panelists for covering grays and providing rich, even color as well as being the easiest to apply.

Use demi-permanent color if you are 30% gray. Those who are 70% gray the color looks more washed out.

Root Touch-Ups

Both L'Oreal Paris Root Rescue $8 and Clairol Nice 'n Easy Root Touch Up $7, both designed to last three weeks, scored head to head.

Good Housekeeping listed their Anti-Aging Awards in the September issue. I was all over this because who doesn't not want to look their best and find the best products.

They tested all products including professional, drugstore and supermarket brands. Below is a list of their findings. You will be surprised at some of the results.

Best Shampoo and Conditioner

GOLD WINNER - Pureology Nanoworks Shampoo and Conditioner $53 (avail. at salons)
This is definitely spluge-worthy! Both Pureology and Biolage received perfect scores for wet combing in detangling and protecting strands from further damage. This bottle is designed to lsat for about 80 shampoos due to its concentrated formula.

SILVER WINNER -BIOLAGE REJUVANTHERAPIE AGE REFUVENTATING SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER (whew! that was a mouthful!) $18 & $19 respectively at salons) This came in as a close second. This is more wallet friendly and testers loved how clean and fresh-smelling it was and how hair felt silky after it dried.

Deep Conditioner

This received top marks in both lab and consumer testing

SILVER WINNER - Redken Time Reset Youth Revitalizer $17 (salons)

My personal picks are in caps. What are yours?

Stay tuned for best hair coloring products and Root Touch-Ups to be posted tomorrow!

We just got back from a beautiful weekend camping in Jekyll Island, Ga. where we went to the Shrimp and Grits Festival. The weather was beautiful, the food was surprisingly delicious and the company was the best!

While we were there I had to run into Winn Dixie to pick up a few things. Publix was quite a bit away from where we were so WD had to do. I scored when I walked in the front door and found these booklets from SC Johnson. All are MQ's that should work well with the One Stop One Store Booklet when we find it in the stores.

I will report when I find it but I am leaving to go out-of-town on Wednesday and will not be back until Sunday. Hopefully, it won't hit the stores until after I am back! If they do, someone please pick up a few for me! This has been a great book in the past!

Check out our Winn Dixie's in town to see if you can find the same booklet!

I went into Target yesterday and found all the school supplies were marked down 75% off. I purchased composition books for $.10, 1 subject notebooks for $.12 and 2 subject notebooks (normally $5) for $1.25. They also had many other items like binders, drawing paper, book covers, portfolio covers, etc.

They had also marked down their remaining garden items to 75% off. I know for a fact they were just 50% off on Tuesday! They still had plenty of cushions left as well as pots, beach chairs (2.50) and insectisides and lawn care products.

Check out the home section for 30% off comforters, sheets, pillows, etc. If you are looking for a new twin comforter for a kids or guest room, now is the time to get it!

Summer time is a slow time for blinkies. Maybe the blinkie lady takes an extended vacations so they just don't get put up. The blinkie season is about to ramp up again so keep your eyes peeled!

It has been reported that several new blinkies have been spotted. We have seen some good deals with some of these so make sure you grab a few and hold on to them until the next sale.

$1.50/2 Johnson & Johnson Red Cross covers or tapes (exp 12/31/11)
$0.75 Athenos Feta (exp 11/18)
$0.55 Kraft Singles 12oz or larger (exp 10/31/11)
$1/3 Uncle Ben Ready Rice (exp 11/12/11)
$1/2 Muellers (13.5 or larger) (exp 10/23/11)

If you haven't printed the BOGO coupon yet off Facebook, go HERE and print yours. BOGO Pasta and rice should be cycling around again soon so make sure you grab those blinkies. There is usually a Publix coupon in the Green Advantage Flyer to stack with the Johnson & Johnson so grab that one also!

A big thank you to the Town of Nocatee and Rachel for having me come and speak last night. The Nocatee Publix isn't going to know what hit them after you start couponing! You guys are about to be blown away when you see how much you could save at the grocery store and drugstore.

Please feel free to e-mail or call me if you have any questions!

I checked my in-box and found new coupons from Pillsbury. Go HERE to check out the newest coupons. I noticed they had a $1/2 coupon for Chocolate Morsels if you want to make the Banana Bites in the next post!!

What do you get when you mix equal parts of chocolate and peanut butter, dip in a chunk of banana and sprinkle with nuts?

I will tell you it is a little piece of heaven!

I used Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips and creamy peanut butter. I just happened to have a few jars on hand! Line parchmart paper on a cookie sheet and then dip banana chunks in the chocolate/PB mixture that you melt in the microwave. Sprinkle with nuts or coconut.

Lick your fingers and repeat!

Place the tray in the freezer for about 1 hour. You can eat them at this stage or put them in the freezer.

These frozen banana bites are wonderful! Put in a little baggie and whenever you need a little piece of heaven, pop one in your mouth!

Right now you can print a high value $1.00/1 3-in-One Multi-Purpose Drip Oil coupon. I would print this coupon now in case they decide to pull it. To print the $1.00/1 3-in-One Oil coupon, go HERE and click the “household” category. (I found this under zipcode 32080.)

Then, print out a HOT Try-Me-Free Mail-in-Rebate for 3-in-One Multi-purpose Drip Oil. Go HERE to print the rebate. This rebate covers 3oz, 4oz, or 8oz sizes purchased between 2/28/11 and 9/30/11. Maximum rebate amount is $4.99.

Lastly, go purchase a 3-in-One Oil size 3 oz, 4 oz or 8 oz. (I plan on buying the smallest size so as to minimize out of pocket spending. ) Use the $1.00/1 coupon at the store. Save your receipt and submit it with the rebate to receive up to $4.99 back!

According to their website, this can be found at Walgreens, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware and a few other places.

If you have a sewing machine buy this to lube up your machine! This can also be used to lube hinges, nuts and bolts, bicycles, wheels, fans, etc. Sounds like a useful product for me!

I got an e-mail from Carol in Ponte Vedra today and she bought $340.73 worth of groceries today at Publix for $52.98!! Included in her purchases were paper plates, toilet paper, charcoal and other grocery items.

Here last sentence was "Woohoo! I Love Coupons! Thank you for your class!"

Thanks for sharing Carol! We love to hear success stories especially when the store ad has been less than appealing!

I went up to the outlet mall over the holiday weekend and got a great deal on a small change purse at Coach. This was marked down to $69.95 (really???) and then I got half off of that. Thru Sunday, you can use this coupon HERE and take an additional 30% OFF!!

I was able to get this for $27 and change. Now when I go into a store I just throw my phone, lip gloss, and a credit card in there and I don't have to lug around my 20 lb. bag! I was handed a coupon at the door so I don't even know if you have to have it printed already.

They had some other good deals also. If you are a Coach lover, you may want to check it out!

Did anyone else feel it? I walked outside this morning and there was a crispness in the air. Ok...maybe not that crisp! But you have to agree with me that the humidity didn't knock you over.

It just felt good.

Fall is approaching. At least that is what the calander says. Time to update your makeup colors. Shift from the pinks for summer to the neutral browns, corals for fall.

Enter in the Dollar Store. Yes, I did say the Dollar Store! I went to the one on US 1 by Staples and they had Loreal True Match in a beautiful color suitable for everyone for guess how much?? $1.00!!!

Stop by and pick yourself up a few for the fall season. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I love mine!

Check your binders for the hangtag Buy 10 Gatorade, Get 5 FREE! The coupon expires 9/30/11 and will work great with the Gatorade sale this coming Thursday. Gatorade will be on sale for 10 for $10. With the coupon you will only pay $.66 each.

I believe I saw this hangtag in Winn Dixie.

Also check for the $1 off a lb. of Cheese printable. This will go well with the deli american cheese for $3.99 per lb. Use the $1 coupon and pay only $2.99 for a lb. of deli cheese! White american is my favorite!

I came across this post and thought it was interesting enough to post. I personally have enough Shout Spray & Wash and Resolve that I got for FREE but never seem to get a deal on Oxi-Clean.

I have to separate my husbands t-shirts into stained and not-stained when I am putting them away. The stained shirts outnumber the good ones. I think the oxi-clean will become my new bff!

Mix it in a glass jar and keep above your laundry area. When you are ready to use just give it a shake!

1 cup water
1/2 cup peroxide
1/2 cup baking soda

Soak laundry in mixture for 20 minutes or overnight.

That's it!! I know I have taken peroxide and poured that directly on things with a stain and it fizzes and worked! Why buy the expensive stuff when you can do this. I want to try adding this to my whites as a laundry boost!

Saturday, September 3, 2011

Head to CVS beginning Sunday to get some FREE Skintimate Shaving Cream.

Edge or Skintimate shave gel or cream $1.99
Use the $1/1 Cream Shave coupon found in the 7/24 SS (if included in sale)
Plus, use the $1/1 CVS Cream Shave store coupon found HERE
Final cost FREE!

I will be doing this Sunday morning and I will let you know if it works!

Friday, September 2, 2011

I have always wanted to try these. Since we are now a family of two, and our laundry has decreased, I would love to throw the pinks in with the whites and not come out with pink underwear!

Go HERE and request a sample. Maybe this is something that could make our life easier!

I found the Toss for Cash Booklet at the Cobblestone Publix today. It is in a cardboard display when you walk straight into the store! We got some great deals from this booklet for a couple years in a row now. Let's hope this one will be the same!

I can already tell we will not get the Ore Ida French Fry deals because the new coupon is for the 40 oz. bag. Bummer!
