PUBLIX 12/31/10, SPENT $14.04, SAVED 76%

Another focused trip this week. This is what I bought:

Scallions
Grapes
Cantelopes
Bananas
Broccoli
2 Ragu
2 Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
Potato Rolls
8 cans beans
Worstershire sauce
Greens
Creamed corn
10 Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Then I had to get my haircut at Panache so I went into the other Publix to get my Coast soap the other Publix was out of.

8 Coast Soap
1 ScotchBrite Pad
1 pack gum

TOTAL PAID $.75

TARGET CHRISTMAS CLEARANCE!

I meant to put this up this morning to let you know Target has its Christmas merchandise reduced 75%. I only picked up a few rolls of wrapping paper and some bows. I mainly went to Target for the Scott Toilet Tissue. It is priced at $3.99 for a 4-pack and I used my $2 Target Q's and 2 MQ's for $1 each and got 2 packages for $1 each. I only had 2 MQ's so I bought 2 more just using the $2 Q's. It was still a good deal. If you have that coupon, you still have time. They expire on 1/8/11.

How do you know it is a good deal on toilet paper? Look at the total number of square feet on the package. In this case it is 419.2 sq. ft. Move the decimel point over 3 spaces. If you can get a roll of TP for $.42 a roll, it is a great deal. Using both the MQ and TQ you are getting it for $.25 a roll. Using only the $2 TQ, you are paying $.50 a roll which is still considered a great deal

HELLO TO THE GIRLS AT ST. AUG. IMAGING CENTER

December should be a joyful time of year. It always is for me until I get to the end of the month where I go for the dreaded mamogram.

I walk into the Imaging Center and hand them my license and insurance card and get asked "Are you saving a lot with coupons?" Now what kind of a question is that to ask me! I then realize this was someone who took the class some time ago. I walked back into the office and was greeted by Shirley and Terri who also took the class, and the three of us stood there and talked about couponing and how it is about to change.

The conversation continued as my boob was placed in between those plastic things and smooshed down until I had to close my eyes and hold my breath. I don't know why I do that but I always do and start to count to 5 after I hear the beep after the picture has been taken. Did talking about coupons make the mamogram easier to bear? Yes, maybe a little, but just a little! Don't forget to get your yearly mamogram!

Before you go you may want to practice this excercise:

Open your refrigerator door and insert one breast between the door and the main box. Have one of your strongest friends slam the door shut and lean on the door for good measure. Hold that position for five seconds (while you hold your breath). Repeat again, in case the first time wasnt effective enough.

CONGRATULATIONS! Now you have nothing at all to worry about when you go for your mammogram!

SOME DEALS TO SMILE ABOUT!

Again, I don't see much for me in the new ad beginning 1/1 but I am excited about the Mott's Medley Juice. With 3 grandkids and a 17 year old who all love juice, I will be stocking up on these!

If your Publix will take an expired coupon, use the $.75/1 PQ from the Harvest of Savings Booklet along with the $1 blinkie that was available last week! I sure hope you pulled some of those! With both of these coupons, you will be getting it for FREE.

If your laundry detergent supply is getting low, stock up on the Wisk Detergent using the $2/1 coupon from the 1/2/11 RP. You will be paying $2.49 for the bottle! Order your coupons now so you can have them in time for the sale. If you plan on buying a large quantity, call your Publix and ask them to order your some and they will have it ready for you when you come in the store.

Also, Green Giant Frozen Vegetables are on sale 10 for $10. Make sure you print the $.50/1 coupon to get veggies for $.50!

Also, boneless skinless chicken breasts are on sale again at Food Lion for $1.79 lb. WOW! we sure have seen many sales recently on boneless chicken. We may not see them again for a few months, so make sure you have enough to get your family through the next couple months.

ANOTHER BRAG SPOT

I received this e-mail today from Linda who took the class just 2 1/2 weeks ago. Congratulations Linda on your first sucessful CVS run. Your OOP expenses will get even less as you go along!

Hi Judy,
I am so excited to give you this progress report. I went to CVS Monday and was proud of my little savings until I came home and read your CVS savings and realized I had missed bargains, so I planned another trip following your deals. Attached is a photo of my purchases that would have totaled $45.22 at full price. After my coupons, I only paid $19.38 with tax. Then CVS gave me $15 in ExtraBucks for my next shopping trip, so I ended up getting all this for only $4.38. WOW, how exciting! I can’t wait for my next shopping trip.

Linda
(December class Alumni)

P.S. My husband was so impressed about getting the Gillette razor for $1.99 that I wanted to get another for my son. Since there was a limit of one, I picked up a second CVS card and went shopping on it to get a razor for my son. While on my second shopping trip, I spied the greentag cards and immediately bought one so I can earn an ExtraBuck every 4th time I use it with my recyclable tote bag.

In case you can’t see the photo, here’s what I bought.

2 Pantene Pro-V shampoo & conditioner
1 Dawn dish detergent
1 Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor
1 Olay Body Wash
1 Tone Body Wash
2 Colgate Toothpaste

WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT EXTREME COUPONING?

Ok...so how many of you watched Extreme Couponing. All I've got to say is that show gives us couponers a bad name!

How many of us need 3,000 rolls of toilet paper (enough to last the average family for 40 years)?...or have over $15,000 worth of stock on hand or spend $70 for 1,000 coupons, or have 50 bottles of laundry detergent (about 1,600 loads) in their stockpile? Well, I confess I have about 60 bottles of laundry detergent! But it stops there!

How many boxes of pasta do you really need? I guess they don't have those bugs that just show up in your pasta. I personally think 125 boxes is a little much! Now if you were feeding a family like maybe the size of the Duggars you could MAYBE justify it! But they were a famly of two...and I might add a LARGE family of two. Hence the 150 candy bars! Who in the heck needs 150 candy bars? The only reason I buy candy bars is for filler items!

Their totals were impressive though and double coupons help tremendously! One paid $51.67 for $1,175.33 worth of groceries. Another paid $6.92 for $230.38 worth of groceries and the best paid $241.00 for $5,743 worth of stuff which included 1100 boxes of cereal that he paid $100 for. He also had a shopping cart full of toothbrushes and dental floss. I did that deal also but maybe got 8 dental floss! The best part is he donates a lot of his stuff. The first lady had a stockpile in her garage that was insured for about $35,000!!!

Who needs 200 deodorants? Did you know these have expiration dates? I certainly don't want to be the one to find out my deodorant has stopped working in the middle of a hot summer day because it was out-of-date!

So the moral to this story is have fun couponing, save your family money, stockpile to a reasonable level, don't have your friends dumpster dive for coupons, and don't go on TV so people will point at you when you are in the store!

STEWART'S PRODUCE WEEKLY AD

Stewart's ad will run this week starting Wednesday and go thru Friday. They will close early on Friday and will be closed on New Years Day.

Boneless New York Strip Steak $5.99 lb.

Claw Crab Meat, 1 lb. can, $6.99 each

3 lb. bag Onions, $1.50 each

New Crop Shelled Almonds, (whole or sliced) and Walnuts

Sunburst Tangerines, 5 for $1.00

Standing Rib Roasts , $5.99 lb.

EXTREME COUPONING SHOW ON TV TONIGHT!

Tonight on TLC there is a show on Extreme Couponing. Now I know there are those of you who think I fall into this catagory, but I can assure you that I do not! Anyone who seems to think they have the need to buy a shopping cart full of toothbrushes definitely goes over the top! I think if I stockpiled over 4 years worth of toilet paper my husband would definitely kill me and think I needed to be hospitalized. Now we can go out into "JMART" and get what we need without being overwhelmed (the term for my stockpile in my garage!)

Don't forget to watch tonight!

WALGREENS 12/28/10, SPENT $.96

Do you have any RR's you need to use by the end of the year? I did the Sinex deal and paid $.96 OOP and got back another $10 RR that expires 1/11/11. This stuff actually works. We have used both the day and night over the past 45 days dealing with all the sinus stuff going around. It was sure nice to have it in my stockpile.
OOPS: The picture should show 4 cans of chicken broth NOT 2 snickers bars. The snickers bars were used as fillers for the deal below

I also bought a Olay Regenerist Cream on sale for $19.99 and used 2 $5 RR's and will submit for the $20 Olay Rebate

Monday, December 27, 2010

CVS SPENT $4.20

I had $12 worth of ECB's to roll and it actually was easy for an end of the year transaction. I ended up spending $4.20 (includes tax) for all this and got $10 in ECB's to roll into the following weeks! I did it in four transactions and this is what I bought:

2 Pantene Shampoo
2 Pantene Styler items
1 Olay Body Wash
1 Olay Moisturizer
2 Colgate Toothpaste
2 Tone Body Wash
2 Dawn Dish Soap

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my friends I have made through couponing! May we remember why we celebrate the Christmas season. Thank you to my Lord Jesus Christ who left His throne in heaven to come down and be born as a baby to bear the sins of the world.

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas as you celebrate His birth with your family!

HEADS UP!

I am sure I am not the only one who has heard Publix will be changing their coupon policy after the first of the year. What I have heard is that they will no longer be taking Target coupons because we don't have a Super Target here. Good bye produce and deli coupons :( (and no more cheap crackers, cereal, etc.)

I have also heard they will no longer use Dollar General and Family Dollar coupons.

I don't know if if will vary by store or if it will be a policy that will be adopted storewide.

As I hear, I will keep you posted.

RAGU COUPON

Along with the A-1 Steak sauce deal posted below, look for the "Get A Smart Start for Back To School" Booklet and use the $1/2 coupon for Ragu with the sale. I will continue to post any expired Publix coupon deals as I find them!

PUBLIX 12/23/10, SPENT $12.03

What a day it has been! All the last minute running around and, of course, a trip to the grocery store to pick up bread for my breakfast casserole that I forgot the other day. I also decided to pick up a few other things and that turned into many things! When I got home I had no time to take a picture. You will have to use your imagination on this one. This is what I bought:

20 pc. wings (deli) (impulse buy!)
Bag of pretzels
Hersheys Rolos (to make the most amazing candy ever, recipe to follow)
4- 32oz. Ricotta Cheese (giving 1 to each of my daughters)(used blinkie and Yellow Advantage Q
4 Mozzarella Cheese (giving 1 to each of my daughters)(used same Q'S)
2 Grape Tomatoes
2 pkgs. Zucchini
2 Cream Cheese
4 I Can't Believe It's Not Butter
4 Cracker Barrel Cheese (used PQ and MQ)
4 Planters Nuts
2 Jello Pudding
Animal Crackers
Whole Pineapple
2 loaves Bread

TOTAL SPENT $11.68, SAVED 90%

Then...as I was making my appetizers for tomorrow, I decided to double the recipe on one and I needed more green onions. I still had to go to the bank so I ventured out again to Publix to get my onions and, of course, a few other things. This trip I purchased:

10 Gatorade (turns out my brother loves it!)
4 Mrs. Butterworths (this was out-of-stock at other store and it is good until 5/2012
Sweet Potatoes (not on sale next week)
Green beans (not on sale next week)
Bananas

TOTAL SPENT $.35, SAVED 99%

Sometimes it is worth it to add a few items to get your total up to $25 if you have a $5/$25 Q like I did. It is like getting those items for FREE and that makes me smile! Also, knowing I could get my veggies this week at the sale price is when I want to stock up!

Now for the recipe using the pretzels and rolos. This is the simplest recipe and it is sooo good! You have to buy the square pretzels. Lay them out on a pan and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While it is heating up, place a rolo on top of the pretzel. That is it. You are almost done! Now put the pan in the oven and set the timer for 3 minutes. Look at them and see if the chocolate has softened. It may need another minute, but no longer. Take them out and immediately press a M&M in the center. Take off rack (this is the hardest part) and cool on a cooling rack. These are like making your own Take 5 Candy Bars only bite-size. They make the best gift to give your mailman, hairdresser, etc.

I will not be going to Publix tomorrow and don't see much next week I need either. This will be live out-of-the pantry/freezer week (which includes a prime rib!)

MORE FREE EXCEDRIN

Here is a new link for a Free bottle of Excedrin. They are giving out 10,000 coupons a day with a value of up to $5.99 ea. I already got 2 of these in the mail and then stacked with a $5/2 PQ from a Green Advantage Flyer for $5 overage

MORE FREE CANDY AT CVS

When I was at CVS yesterday picking up my 2 bags of M&M's and 2 bags of Hershey's Kisses for $.82 using my ECB's, I scanned my card and got a BOGO Reeses Pieces coupon.

If you get one, you can do this deal:

Buy 2 bags of Hershey’s Reeses Pieces 2/$5, Get $2 ECB
Use the BOGO coupon from the scanner
Pay $2.50 for 2 bags and get $2 ECB

Use those ECB's that are getting ready to expire to roll them into next year!

DEAL WITH A1 STEAK SAUCE IN NEW AD

Again, if your store takes an expired coupon, here is another to go with the new ad. Look for the coupon in the Smart Savings Booklet for "Save $1 on ground beef wyb one A1 Steak Sauce" Use two coupons, buy 2 1lb. packages of ground beef and get the meat for FREE!

A $100 WINNER

I just got this e-mail below from John who has a big smile on his face after winning something posted on a blog. This just goes to show you...someone has to win and it might as well be one of us!! Congratulations John & Jenny!

Jenny and I just had a pleasant surprise. If you remember back in July, Conga Foods was giving rebates if you purchased 5 of their food items with the mail in rebate. Once you sent the rebate in you were automatically entered for a chance at a $100.00 gift card. Well, last Saturday the door bell rang and it was the post man. He had certified mail for us. Wondering what it could be, we tore it open and to our surprise it was a letter and a $100.00 gift card from Conga Food. WE WON!!! Great timing.

BRAG SPOT FROM BARBARA!

I received a message from Barbara who took the class a few weeks ago. She was calling to report on her first shopping trip to Publix after learning the saving method. He total before coupons was $450 and after coupons $209.

She is just beginning and this is just the start of her savings!

Sorry I missed your call Barbara! Let me know how you are doing in about 6 weeks! Wait until you see how much you improve!

HOW MUCH DID YOUR DINNER COST TONIGHT?

Hard to beat this one and it was good!

Classico Pasta Sauce $.30
Muellers Pasta $.15
1/2 of Sorrento Mozzarella Cheese $.50
Primo Sausage FREE
Garlic Bread $1.00

TOTAL COST OF DINNER TO FEED 4 - $1.95 (Baked pasta with cheese and garlic bread)

So how much did you pay for your dinner tonight? Gotta love coupons!

PUBLIX, SPENT $.10, SAVED 100%

WOW! What a great shopping trip today! I was totally out of block cheese and I was excited to get the $50 gas card and I'll always take more free cleaning supplies. The only disappointment was the Gatorade Recover. I know why it is on sale...it is horrible! Now don't take my word for it. I don't like regular Gatorade. The Recover tastes to me like it is very sweet. Why do you need all that sweetness? Maybe after a afternoon in the hot sun it gives your body back something it needs. Not this body...it won't be passing through my lips! I have already given some away and rest will be going away as well! If you want to taste this stuff, use the blinkie that is found right in front of it and stack with the $1 PQ in the yellow advantage flyer that is in the front of the store. That equals FREE. This is what I purchased:

6 Keebler Crackers
25 Gatorade
10 Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaner
6 Publix Chunk Cheese
2 Cream Cheese
3 Sorrento Mozzarella Cheese
2 boxes Excedrin
Distilled Water
3- 4pk. Starbucks Frappuccino
AND
$50 GAS CARD

Yes, you read it right. I paid $.10 for all of the above items including the $50 gas card. I had free coupons for the Excedrin and had a $5/2 PQ which gave me overage. I also had several coupons from an expired yellow flyer that were stacked with MQ's. Of course, $/$$ coupons were used to bring my total to $.10

Not bad if I say so myself!

Monday, December 20, 2010

MORE DEALS!

Here's a few more deals for you if your Publix will accept a expired Publix coupon. If you signed up for the FREE Excedrin, you should be receiving your coupons in the mail. I received two coupons today for a FREE MIGRANE and a FREE EXCEDRIN EXTRA STRENGTH. Pair this with the $5/2 green advantage coupon dated 11/27 to 12/17 and get $5 overage!

Keebler crackers are BOGO this week. Pair this with the coupon from the Noche Buena booklet for "Save $2 on Publix Cheese wyb any ONE Keebler Cracker", and Wags $1/2 Q to get crackers for about $.80 box PLUS $4 worth of FREE PUBLIX CHEESE!

NEW ADDITION hERE'S ANOTHER GREAT DEAL! Use the $1/1 Sorrento Cheese Blinkie available now in the store and stack with the $1 PQ from the Bountiful Blessings Yellow Advantage Flyer. If your store will accept an expired Publix Q, you can get these for $1 each. Also, these blinkies don't expire until 3/11 so get a few extra to pair again with a sale!

DOLLAR STORE DEAL ON FETA CHEESE

Here's yet another deal and you don't go to Publix for it! Presidents Feta Cheese is at the Dollar Store on US 1 in the Staples Plaza and has an expiration date of March 2011. And guess what? It is only $1!!

Does anyone know if the Dollar Store takes coupons? I have some $1 Presidents Feta Cheese q's?

But the real question is "DO I really need feta cheese?" I still have a ton left over from when we got them all for FREE!

PUBLIX 12/18/10, SPENT $60.38, SAVED 80%

What a fun trip I had to Publix today! I know my family thought I got lost as I was gone for sooo long! I met a couple of fellow couponers in there, Tina and Helen from Palatka, who I struck up a conversation with. I happened to notice Tina as we passed through the isles and I could immediately tell she was a couponer by the items she had in her cart. The other giveaway could have been the coupon binder she had in her cart as well!! As she was reaching to put Sorrento Cheese in her cart, I asked her what the deal was she was doing because God forbid I miss a deal! Just kidding! Her friend ended up coming around the corner and we stood there talking for quite a long time sharing different deals and our coupon stories. They travel to St. Augustine to shop from Palatka because Palatka doesn't take any Target or FLIPS. I know between the three of us, the store was probably glad to see us leave!

With all the excitment and trying to tell people who got in line behind me it wouldn't be a good move, I totally forgot to use my gift card that I purchased first (see next post) and ended up charging it. That just means I won't be paying for groceries for a few weeks because I still have my gift card. This is what I bought:
(All the refrigerated items are not shown because I threw them in the freezer and took off for church because I was late!

4 Sour Cream (not shown)
Chili Powder
4 Hefty Trash Bags (used RC)
4 Ore-Ida Hash Browns (not shown)
Sweet Potatoes
Green Peens
Green Onions
2 pkgs. Poppers Appetizer (not shown)
Publix Semi-Boneless Ham (not shown)
2 Cool Whip (not shown)
4 Dole Pineapple
6 Quaker Instant Oatmeal
Half and Half (not shown)
1/2 lb. Brothers Coffee
25 Gatorade Recover
10 Planters Peanuts
4 Boxes Nabisco Wheat Thins
6 Boxes Nabisco Wheat Thin Stix
4 Boxes of Pasta
AND A...
$50 GAS CARD

WALGREENS 12/17/10

I have $20 worth of RR's to use by the end this week, so I decided to do the nail polish deal again with my Hallmark RR's and used the Everpure Shampoo/Conditioner deal as my filler item. I asked Walgreens to adjust down the RR $.01 and they wouldn't so I just bought them anyway. I ended up getting 3 nail polish, 2 Conditioner and 1 Shampoo for $4.56 and got another $15 in RR's. I still have one more RR to use this week, but I managed to roll the others until the end of the month. Looks like I will have some fun when I have $30 to spend in Walgreens. Now the question is...do I buy paper towels and toilet paper or do I buy fun stuff in the cosmetic department??

Make sure you do the Loreal Everpure Shampoo and Conditioner for $.99 at the cosmetic counter. Even if you don't have the coupon, they will scan one there behind the counter. This stuff normally sells for $6.99 each!

COFFEEMATE FOOD LION COUPON

Go here to print a coupon for $.50 off Coffeemate Dairy Creamer. Make sure you print the number of copies you want the first time because you will not be able to go back in and print any more. This coupon along with the $1 coupon from "liking" on FB should make for a pretty sweet deal!

ALSO BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR REDPLUM INSERT IN TODAYS MAIL FOR VALUABLE PUBLIX COUPONS!

A GIFT TO YOURSELF AFTER ALL THIS SHOPPING!

Time for a break from the holiday hub-bub…

Okay, take off your shoes. No, seriously, take off your shoes. Now look at your feet…not just the top, but look at the soles of your feet. How do they look? How do they feel? Are they soft, smooth & lovely? Or are they dry, rough & icky?

Here in Florida some of us are still wearing flip-flops. Yeah, we’re crazy like that around here. But then again it does still get into the 70's and 80's at times in December. And while we will be covering our toes for the most part through the rest of winter it’s important for us to take care of our feet, regardless if they won’t be seeing the light of day until next March.

I recently heard about a NATURAL & super CHEAP way to have healthy, soft & beautiful feet. Sorry, this doesn’t correct crooked toes, bossy toes, etc., but it does help the overall appearance. Two words: Garlic + Olive Oil.

You read that right, garlic & olive oil. I’ve heard of people using them on their feet but never gave it a try myself. Did you know that garlic is a naturally powerful antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-parasitic. I realize this is a lot of detail for such a simple thing and I can't wait to try it. Anyway, here’s the recipe:

Before bed – crush 1 clove of fresh garlic in a small bowl & cover with olive oil, then place plastic wrap over the bowl. (I know we all have olive oil we have stockpiled!) Let it soak for 30 minutes, then rub the olive oil mixture on the bottom of your feet. Put socks on then go to bed. By the morning the garlic will have gone through your body, healing you from the inside, out over a short period of time. Do this for about 5 days in a row, then follow-up whenever you feel the need to do so. If you dream of Carrabba's or Olive Garden that night you will know why! Better yet, don't tell your husband and see if he dreams of an italian dinner at Carrabba's!

Have you ever tried this before? Are you going to give it a go? Let me know your results!

PUBLIX 12/10, SPENT $11.82, SAVED 79%

After not setting foot in a Publix for a whole sales week, I ventured in today to get some of the Smart Balance Milk and a few other things I needed. This is what I purchased:
While I was standing in line when she was ringing up my groceries, I got in a discussion with the guy behind me about where to shop. He insisted that he could get double the amount of groceries at Walmart vs Publix. Of course, I disagreed. He stood there while my groceries went through but left before my total came up. My total before groceries was over $80. My total was $11.82. Now he can't tell me he can do that at Walmart!!

2 pkgs. chicken breast

RECEIPE TO USE THOSE BONELESS CHICKEN BREASTS

We should be stocking up on boneless skinless chicken breasts since they are on sale this week and last week as well. With the cold weather here for the next few days, here is a great soup recipe that will remind you of eating at Panera Bread. Stop at the farmers market on Saturday morning and buy a loaf of bread from the guy who is closest to the entrance, close your eyes and you will think you are at Panara! What makes this recipe even better is that you should have the Uncle Bens Wild Rice in your stockpile as well when we got them for FREE as well as a good stock of chicken broth!

CHICKEN WILD RICE SOUP

4 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
2 cooked boneless chicken breast halves, shredded
1 (6.2 oz) package Uncle Ben's long grain and wild rice with seasoning mix
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup choppen onions
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
1-2 T olive oil

Saute onion, carrots, celery with a little olive oil and garlic.

In a large pot over medium heat, combine broth, water, chicken and sauteed vegetables. Bring just to boiling, then stir in rice, reserving seasoning pocket. Cover and remove from heat.

In a small bowl, combine salt & pepper, flour. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in contents of seasoning packet until mixture is bubbly. Reduce heat to low, then stir in flour mixture by tablespoons, to form a roux. Whisk in cream, a little at a time, until fully incorporated and smooth. Cook until thickened, 5 minutes.

Stir cream/milk mixture into broth and rice. Cook over medium heat until heated through, about 15 minutes.

Enjoy!

E-MAIL FROM MARGIE A. - A MUST READ!

Margie sent me this e-mail and I thought it was good information for all of us to follow. Remember to always be NICE to your cashier!

Judi,
I have been enjoying couponing & thank you for teaching me. I was sharing my
couponing experiences with my daughter (who formerly worked at Publix part-time
while in high school & college) and her friend (who presently works at Publix).
The one thing they said is, "Please don't become one of those mean ladies".
They said there are some ladies who, if they are told they can't use a
particular coupon, that they get total nasty with the cashier. The cashier is
doing the best they can. It's all in the attitude - please ask nicely. The
cashier could lose their job if they don't do what they are told.
If couponers try to take advantage of Publix, then Publix could change some of
their coupon policies & ruin it for all of us.
Please get this message out to your coupon followers to BE NICE TO YOUR CASHIER,
NOT ONLY AT CHRISTMAS, BUT ALL THE TIME. REMEMBER TO THANK YOUR CASHIER.
God Bless,
Margie (Mom of former Cashier)

I'M BACK UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!

If you wonder why I have not posted in several days, I didn't fall off the face of the earth! My one computers hard-drive crashed and I don't know what was wrong with the other. But the good news is I finally got it working!!

Have I been shopping in the past 7 days? No, I only bought my chicken at Food Lion (went 2 times) and from the looks of the the new ad, I won't be doing much shopping next week either. Could you believe I didn't even set foot in a publix this week? Shocking...but true. Nothing I had to have. The only thing I see I want next week is the Smart Balance Milk on sale for $2.50. I have already ordered my $2 coupons for
$.12 each which means I will pay $.50 per 1/2 gallon. If you have any 2010 Harvest Savings Booklets left, and your store will take an expired Publix coupon, you can sweeten the deal even more. Combine the $2 MQ and the $1 PQ and get FREE MILK!

Also, more boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.99 lb.!! If you didn't buy it last week or need more to stock up, make sure you use your grocery budget this week on that because God knows we all don't need any more Cheez-It crackers!
