CHEAP ROBITUSSIN AT CVS

I was disappointed to see that our region did not carry the $3 Robitussin coupon. I have one $3 expired ECB left I wanted to use this week and not having that coupon meant I couldn't do the deal.

I went to print my Red Plum coupons HERE and there is was...the $3 Robitussin coupon!!! I was so happy!

Now I can do the following scenerio and use my expired ECB, get cough medicine for the upcoming winter months, and get $3 ECB back!!

Buy (2) Robitussin 20 ct or liquid 4 oz $4.99

Total = $9.98

$3.00 off ANY Robitussin® product (coupon link above)
Total = $3.98, Get Back $3 ECB

= AS LOW AS $.49 EACH

In my case, I will use the $3 ECB to pay, pay $.49 each and then get back another $3 ECB! Woo Hoo!!

$20 IN ECB'S

God was with me today when I went to CVS. I headed there with two expired ECB's, CVS rainchecks and several coupons that expired today. It wasn't going to take much for my scenerio not to come together...but it did!

First of all, I did what I tell everyone NOT to do. I went into CVS totally unprepared on how I was going to use my ECB's because I didn't know the price of the razors I was buying because I had a raincheck. So I just had to fly by the seat of my pants!

I went to the CVS on SR16 and asked first if I could use an expired ECB (8 days past) and she said no. Then she said "Yes, I'll take it" only after I said I guess I would have to go to the beach store to use it.

I bought 4 packages of razors, two of them were disposables with 4 in each package and the other 2 Venus Razors were the kind you buy new cartridges for, and a newspaper.

I paid more OOP than I usually do because I couldn't find my $3 coupon!! Don't you just hate when that happens! I ended up paying $5.51 instead of $2.51. I did it on two cards so I just had her throw the receipt in the bag with the razors. After my two transactions were done, she said "Give me your card again so I can print the ECB from the raincheck". She then put two $5 ECB's in my bag and I went on my merry way.

When I got home I looked at my receipts and there was a $5 ECB on each receipt PLUS the two she printed at the end. I was totally shocked! I was given DOUBLE ECB's and didn't even know it.

I ended up paying $5.51 OOP but I got back $20 in ECB's!! I just want to keep accumulating them and keep them rolling waiting for the big Thanksgiving Day sale!

LOOK FOR CHIPS AHOY MQ

Be on the lookout for a MQ in the cracker isle. The coupon is for $1/2 any Chips Ahoy or Ritz Cracker.

I was able to use that coupon and stack it with the $1/2 Chips Ahoy Publix coupon from the Stocking Spree sheet found in the front of the store and pay just $.75 for a bag of cookies.

I know some college girls who will be very happy I bought some Chewy Chips Ahoy! I was all set to buy them without the MQ but when I found that it sweetened the deal even more I bought 4 packages!

This coupon is also good for Ritz Crackers. Use the $1/2 MQ and the $1/2 TQ and pay somewhere around $.60 a box!

The coupon expires the end of October

UPDATE ON ENJOY THE CITY BOOKS

I called the toll-free number today to find out about the Enjoy the City Books. Turns out they had a greater response for the books than they had books so they had to print more...sound familiar? That is the same thing that happened last time.

They should be shipped sometime within the next few days so I am expecting them to be at my house the beginning of next week.

Keep checking to get updated as to when they can be picked up!

Oh...as for the lack of posts lately...I haven't been shopping much! I have thought the sales have been kind of lack-luster and I am trying to use what I have in my house to make some room in my freezer!!

ARE YOU ON FACEBOOK?

Are you on Facebook? Then you may want to copy and paste this message. I don't do much on FB, but I know things are posted that you may want only to share among your friends. If you care about your privacy, copy and paste and change the settings.

To all my FB friends, may I request you to please do something for me: I want to stay PRIVATELY connected with you. However, with the recent changes in FB, the public can now see activities in any wall. This happens when our friend hits "like" or "comment", automatically, their friends would see our posts too. Unfortunately, we cannot change this setting by ourselves because Facebook has configured it this way. So I need your help. Only you can do this for me. PLEASE place your mouse over my name above (do not click), a window will appear, now move the mouse on “FRIENDS" (also without clicking), then down to "Settings", click here and a list will appear. REMOVE the CHECK on "COMMENTS & LIKE" and "OTHER ACTIVITY" by clicking on it. By doing this, my activity amongst my friends and my family will no longer become public. Many thanks! Paste this on your wall so your contacts would follow suit too, that is, if you care about your privacy.

I will do the same for you....

TYPICAL WALMART

My husband wanted to go to Walmart this morning for something so I decided to tag along. I haven't been to Walmart in awhile, so I was up for the trip.

There are always a few things I like to pick up in Walmart if I happen to be there. Two of them are Farmers Ham and Land O Lakes American or 4-Cheese American. I also picked up a pineapple and some whole wheat hamburger buns, plums and taco seasoning that we needed for something we were making today. My stockpile of about 30 finally ran out!

At the register I had the $1 off a lb. of cheese coupon and the $.60/3 Taco Seasoning coupons. I just printed them before I left so they were smack dab fresh off the printer!

Of course, when I finished checking out, the coupons wouldn't scan. Really??? I just printed them! Someone came over and had to push them through because she saw I purchased the items. How aggravating! I think they just set up their computers to decline them and maybe just accept a few.

Walmart would just freak out if any one of us came through the line with our handfuls of coupons!

GOOD COVERGIRL COUPONS

Make sure to check your Parade Magazine in today's paper for a $1/1 CoverGirl coupon, $3/2 any two CoverGirl Products, or a $3 coupon for CoverGirl Olay Foundation.

When I got this foundation BOGO at Winn Dixie, I started using it instead of my $39 bottle of Estee Lauder. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE my Estee Lauder make-up, but to be honest with you, this one comes in at a close second. When I paired the coupons with the sale, I paid less than $2 per package of foundation. I think I bought 6 of them at the time and have used almost two of them and keep one in the camper.

I made sure I got another raincheck to keep in the wings waiting for another good coupon and now this may be the time to use it!

MY CVS TRIP

Since I have some extra time on my hands sitting at the emergency room, I thought I would tell you about my CVS trip today.

My daughter fell out of her bed at school reaching for her pillow and her arm popped out of the socket and she heard something rip.  So here we are sitting at the emergency room and will probably be here into the wee hours.

I had $5 ECB's that were expired and had to used within the next few days. I pulled out a rain check for Gillette razors that was giving a $5 ECB'S.  I also had a coupon for a buy one get one free razor and a $3 coupon.. I also bought four Dawn dish detergents that were on sale for $.99 each and had MQ's for those also. The max value of the coupon was $12.99 and I didn't know if I was going to get the maximum value of the coupon or $8.39 which is what I paid.

My end result for two razors and four dawn was $3.10 OOP and I got back the $5 ECB from my rain check PLUS a $3 ECB which was  generated automatically because the razor was on sale giving $3 ECB. I have never had that happen but was thrilled to turn my $5 into $8!

Has anyone else had an experience where they used a R/C on an item that was already on sale and it gave them double ECB'S?

SHOPSMART MAGAZINE

I received a pamphlet in the mail today called ShopSmart from Consumer Reports. There was a lot of information in there that was very interesting. Here are some of the things I found interesting.

To get more from your batteries, don't mix batteries...use batteries that are the same brand and age. According to their tets, the batteries with the best combination of performance  and price were KIRKLAND SIGNATURE batteries. The cost...just $.50 per pair (sold at Costco in a pack of 48)

Energizer Max batteries were among the lowest-scoring all the batteries they tested. They took fewer shots and cost $3 per pair.

Proactive costs $20 for a months supply. Oxy Maaxium costs just $5 for a months supply and in recent tests it worked just as well as Proactive.

The Genie Bra ads sound great. I was even tempted to get one myself!  When Consumer Reports tested it on ten women, the women looked smashed, unsupported and bouncy!

The Hyundai Elantra for $18,445 is their top-rated small car. It gets an overall 29 mpg. On the other hand, the VW Jetta ) has a mediocre fuel economy and the interior uses lower-quality material and they don't recommend it.

Don't change your oil every 3,000 miles. This is the advice oil companies like to preach. Most modern engines are designed to go 7,500 miles!

Wash new clothes before you wear them. Many garments, especially cotton ones, have coatings containing formaldehyde to prevent wrinkles. Washing can reduce levels of formaldehyde.

I plan on ordering the book so I will post interesting articles to share with you!

CLARITIN DEAL

How many of you take Claritin for allergies? We have a deal at CVS beginning Sunday that will save you 50 percent off allergy medicine.

Use the $5 coupon from coupons.com using zipcode 84121 and pay just $9.99 after sale amd Ecb's. That is certainly better than paying the $19.99 regular price.

Keep rolling those ECB'S so you have them for the annual thanksgiving sale. Last year I spread all my haul from both drugstores on mybed and was amazed how much free stuff I got!"

THANK YOU COUPON FAIRY

My mail arrived yesterday and I found yet another envelope with 5 stamps on it from my Coupon Fairy! All of the coupons were cut and put together and I was immediately able to use the Ore-Ida MQ's when I went to Publix to get a few things. I had a raincheck for the Ore-Ida Grillers that were BOGO. I used two $1/1 PQ's and a $1/2 MQ to pay just $.37 per bag! I only had two PQ's with me so I went up to the customer service desk and she rang up my order and did the LU # four times for the four bags I bought.

Thank you coupon fairy whoever you are! It is like Christmas getting an envelope of coupons and pulling out the ones I could put to use immediately! They couldn't have come at a better time.

GOOD BUYS AT TARGET

RUN...DON'T WALK TO TARGET!!

All of their school supplies have been marked down to 7o percent off! Pick up some items for next school season. Maybe you can get some thing to donate to your teacher so she has extra supplies on hand for those children who don't have enough. You can also pick up a few items to put in your operation Christmas child shoebox.

When you are done in school supplies, head to seasonal where beach chairs, pillows, indoor/outdoor rugs are also marked 70 percent off. The sign may still say 30 percent so make sure to check the prices.

They also had a Chairbroil grill for 50 percent off and all kinds of grilling baskets and tools at 70 percent off. I also got a beach cart with the big wheels for $6. That will go to my daughter for Christmas...and yes...I have already started my holiday shopping!

Have a little girl on your shopping list? Head over to toys and pick up the Lalaloopsy play dresses marked down to $12 from $20. They are very well made and are so much better then the dresses they come out with at Halloween. I know a little girl who is going to be so excited to get this for her birthday!

Head over to women's clothes and check the tags. There were some still showing signs of 30 percent but they were 75 percent.

I picked up two rugs one 5x7 and the other 7x11 for $60 for both! If I can't use them I will post to see of any of you can use them. They are very neutral in color with almost a grey herringbone design.

Big Lots  was next because my daughter wanted to go there. They had taco bell taco seasoning packages for just $. 50 each. They also had a nine pack (instead of 6) of Thomas' English muffins for $2.50. Their bread selection is great and cheap!

Then off to the produce guy where I got 13 tomatoes for $4, sweet potatoes, and peaches. By then I was out of money so I went home!

Good luck to all of you at target! Make sure to check out the other departments as well!

MY WEIGHT LOSS SUCCESS STORY

I just had to pat myself on the back today" I finally went to weigh in at a weight watchers meeting and found out that I have lost a total of 33.6 lbs!! Woo hoo!!! I guess I can say I had a smile on my face all day today! My sandle deal I tell you about in the next post kept the smile on my face,

If any of you are considering a weight loss plan, I would highly recommend WEIGHT WATCHERS. It is really very easy and you feel so much better when you are doing it. Three of us are doing it at work and together we have lost a total of 75 lbs! I would love to lose another 15-20 lbs and then I would be really little!! I'll just be happy to lose 10 more!

YELLOW BOX SANDLE SALE AT DILLARDS

I hit the honey hole at Dillard's and I wasn't even looking!

The only flip flop that is really comfortable for me is Yellow Box sandles. For some reason I always feel the bump in the bottom of most sandles. If I buy a pair with a bump in them, I find I won't wear them because they are not comfortable to stand on all day. Give me a pair of yellow box sandles and I can wear them all day and feel very comfortable.

I had to run to Jax today to give my daughter her new contacts and sneakers. I got there about 15 minutes early so I decided to wait at Dillard's for her call. I found the yellow box sandles and had her hold three pairs because I REALLY needed some new pairs. I ran to UNF to meet her and came back to Dillards. I went back over to the sandles and found another pair.  They were on clearance for $14 and $10 each, so $48 for 4 pairs. I wanted to look upstairs so I asked them to hold them for me.

When I came back down she told me that they just got word that they were all marked down to $4.99 a pair!! Now I could get 10 pair for what I was going to pay for 4!!! Most were originally $38 each. I was getting them for 82 percent off!!!!

They still had plenty of pairs left in the accessory department at the Towne Center all $4.99 each. Don't bother going to the avenues store. They had only about 6 pair left.

I was able to get some sandles for my kids and a good selection for me and walk out do Dillard's with a big smile on my face!!! If you are heading to the Towne center, head over to Dillard's and check out the yellow box sandles. They also have their regular shoes on clearance for 65 percent off and there are some good deals to be found.

Can you still see the smile on my face :)

PUBLIX 9/9/12, SPENT $23.19

My Publix shopping trip was very uneventful. Nothing really stood out for me this ad except the Smart Balance Milk. I LOVE this milk! Now that I bought 10 of them (with a November 7 expiration date), I am going to go on an oatmeal kick for breakfast which uses a cup of milk and 1/2 cup of regular oats. Some will also go to my daughters. How could you pass up $1 a 1/2 gallon of milk. In case you are wondering, I ordered $1.50/1 milk coupons last week when I got my All Laundry Detergent coupons. That is why I paid $1. This is everything I bought:

10 Smart Balance Milk
2 Cantelopes
1 Honeydew
2 Broccoli Slaw
Fresh Green Beans
8 Old Orchard frozen juice (FREE) used bogo IP
4 Quaker Rice Quakes (FREE) used 4 TQ
Cornstarch
4 Publix Cream Cheese (used $1/2 TQ and cheese IP)
2 Smithfield Bacon (used two $1/1)
2 Franks Hot sauce (used two .30 MQ)
1 Franks Sweet Chili Sauce (used $1/1 MQ)
1 Naturally Fresh Light Ranch Dressing

My cashier was a young guy who wasn't paying attention to anything. He was scanning my coupons and some of them didn't go through. It was a good thing I was watching. One of my Franks Red Hot Sauce coupons didn't go through and he gave it back to me saying "it won't work". A few coupons later I told him to try it again and it worked. He did the same with my bacon coupons. One worked, one didn't. I had him just give it to me to bring up to the office.

I only brought 5 of my milk coupons with me. I guess I thought I would go back but I just wanted to go today and not have to go back to Publix. I went up to the customer service desk not only to get my $1 that wouldn't scan (and yes it did scan up there) but to have the manager write on my receipt that I could bring back my five $1.50 coupons. My total at the register was $31.69 but I got back $1 and will get back another $7.50 so everything above costs me $23.19.

ALL LAUNDRY DETERGENT USING RAINCHECK

I ordered more coupons for myself and my daughter for the All Detergent. I also ordered Smart Balance Milk coupon for this weeks sale so I could get 10 half-gallons of Smart Balance Milk for just $1 each. They will have an expiration date close to the end of October so it is worth buying so many! The coupons cost me $3.95 which is small price to pay for 20 All coupons and 10 milk coupons and the deals we are able to do with them.

I used my raincheck today and ran into Publix before work just to pick up the All Detergent Mighty Packs before the TQ expired. I was able to get 10 of them for $10 plus tax! That means pre-tax, I will be doing laundry for just under $.05 per load! You can't beat that!

The regular price on these are $5.99 each. Do the math! $59.90 worth of laundry detergent for just $10...priceless!

UPDATE TO COUPON CLASS

Here we go again! It looks like my coupon class will be on Wednesday, Sept. 19 and there is still room available. If anyone wants to attend, please contact me because the space is limited!

The class will be held at my home. Further directions will be given when you sign up :)

DEAL ON I PAD 2

Today was just a good day. It started out running into Publix before work to get 16 Right Guard Deodorants for FREE and CVS to get two small cans of shaving gelfor FREE and getting back a $2 ECB's for each one. Then off to work with my buddy Morgan (who I absolutely love!) and a road trip to Target at Regency to get myself an I Pad!

I had gift cards to Target and Morgan found me the deal of the century. I bought a 64 GB I Pad 2 with 3G for $549 and then got a $20 Target gift card which I used for the case! You are also able to get a 16 GB I Pad 2 for $399 and then get a $20 Target gift card.
If you are in the market for an I Pad, this is the time to buy one. The gift card deal ends Saturday so head on over to Target. Our store may still have the 16 GB left but did not have any 64 GB.

The 16GB REFURBISHED was $529 at the Apple Store. I was able to get more memory and NEW for the same price!

Little did I know I was going to get such a good deal today. I was still saving my pennies to get one and now I have it!!

SIMPLE TIPS AND TRICKS

Do you have any tips and tricks you want to share? I have a few to get started! Some of them may surprise you. I came across some of these while surfing the net one day.

1. You know how you never get all of the mascara out of the tube before it dries out? I saw on Pinterest that you can add 4-5 drops of saline solution, insert the wand, stir it up and tah-dah! You can do this 3 or 4 times or until you use up all of the mascara.

2.  To keep stainless steel appliances clean, use a little bit of baby oil on a soft cloth and buff into the surface. Then wipe clean with a dry cloth. It prevents fingerprints from sticking to the surface. If you dont have baby oil, use some Pledge. Bonus for the lemony-fresh scent!

3.  You can reuse the foaming soap dispensers. Simply fill them with water and a teaspoon of antibacterial dish soap and voila. Instant cheap refill!   4.  Did you ever think polishing your sink with car wax would keep toothpaste from sticking. Also car wax also works great to keep fiberglass tubs shiny and makes them resist soap scum.

5.  How about this one...This works wonders for warts- instead of spending tons of cash on the special band aids, just take a square of duck tape and cover the wart. It cuts off all of the oxygen and kills it without having to put that burning liquid on.
6.  Did you know that weeds will not grow through wet newspaper? I saw this on Pinterest, and backed it up from BHandG. When planting flowers mix up the dirt, then place a thick layer of wet newspapers down around the plants. Then cover with your top soil and mulch. Apparently weeds can get through plastic, but not this stuff. (I wouldn't know, I can only get weeds to grow- I kill pretty much everything else!)

7.  Reheat pizza in a skillet on the stove to make an extra crispy crust.

8.  Line your fridge shelves with Glad Press and Seal paper. Just press down to create a seal that will keep your shelves nice and clean!

9.  Dawn gets any grease stain out, even after it has gone through the dryer!

10.  And finally... A sweet lovey told me her Grandma stores lettuce in the waxpaper bag from inside a cereal box, and it lasts twice as long. Nothing beats a tip from a Grammy!

While you are at Stewart's, pick up a bunch of fresh broccoli for $.99, and fresh mushrooms for $1.99 to serve with your chicken!

POSSIBLE FREE PAPER TOWELS

I noticed this Target coupon today and was wondering if there are maybe some free paper towels in our future!!

I guess it depends on how you interpret the wording but I would consider paper towels a cleaning item...I sure use them to clean!

If they do, you could get a single roll for FREE! I have not been able to check out this deal at Target and probably won't be able to until Sunday so if anyone does, please let me know if it works!

Looking forward to hearing from you all!!

TARGET 9/4/12, SPENT $5.50

My Target trip today was going fine until I got to the checkout. She rang up my items, deducted my coupons and, of course, the register wasn’t cooperating in deducting my coupons. I thought she did an override (and I think she did also) but when she told me the total of $12.50, I figured something was wrong. I paid it and walked away scratching my head trying to make heads and tails of the receipt.

I walked up to the customer service desk and asked them if they could help me read it. I told them I didn’t think I got credit for all of my coupons.

To make a long story short, she got my coupons and I should have received $19 credit for the coupons and I only received $12!! She ended up handing me back $7, making my total $5.50 instead of $12.50…much better! This is what I bought:

4 Up & Up 24 ct. Target brand Advil (used four $1 TQ) FREE…like I don’t have enough Advil but who could pass up FREE!

1 Stayfree Liners (used $2 MQ and $1 TQ) FREE

2 Hershey Simple Pleasures (these are awesome) (used $2 MQ and $1 TQ x2) FREE

1 Pkg. Hamburger Buns (no coupons used)

2-12 pack of Dr. Pepper 10 (used $1 TQ and $1 MQ x2)

2 Jello Pudding (refrigerated) (used $1 TQ x2)

1 pkg. Copy Paper (no coupons used)

The moral of this story is always watch your coupons coming off at the register, especially at Target! They are notorious for missing some, in my case $7 worth!! That is nothing to sneeze at!

PUBLIX 9/4/12, SPENT $65.58, SAVED 70%

I knew I was going to spend some money at Publix today because we emptied our refrigerator before we left and I also wanted to stock up on the Bushs’ Beans and condiments. The peanuts landed in my cart because how can you pass up a large can of cocktail peanuts for $.20? You can’t! I made my husband a Tupperware container of peanuts and raisens…his favorite snack!
My bill before coupons was $132. I was ready to split my order into four different orders to use four $5/$30 WD coupons, but they told me it was not necessary. The Cobblestone Publix now has my business. SR 16 told me I would have to split my order because that is the new Publix policy. Cobblestone told me that is the new policy but they are not going to abide by it. It just makes everyone’s life easier! This is what I bought:
4 Feta Cheese

1 Eggbeaters

1 Cottage Cheese, large container

5 Yogurt

Large Watermelon

Cantelope

Bananas

Honeydew

Corn on Cob

Romaine Lettuce

2 Deli Tea, Gallon

10 Bushs’ Beans

4 Planters Cocktail Peanuts

4 Heinz Ketchup

4 Frenchs’ Mustard

2 Worcestershire Sauce

2 Mt. Olive Dill Pickle

2 Smart Balance LOL Butter

4 Boxes of Ritz Crackers

6 Kraft Salad Dressing

4 Morning Start Veggie Burger

3 pkgs. Chicken Leg Quarters

1 lb. Salmon

My fish and chicken totaled $23 alone. My fruit was $12.25. It was worth every penny since it is free on WW!! Since I was buying the produce anyway, I went ahead and got the Kraft dressing. Using the tearpad I told you about earlier, I was able to get 6 of these for free (actually they paid me $.27 to take them out of the store!
The nuts were also a great buy using the BOGO sale, two $1 MQ’s and two $1 TQ’s, making them $.39 for two cans. I was also able to use four $5/$30 WD coupons saving me $20.
I then stopped at the fruit/vegetable stand on US 1 and got yellow squash, tomatoes, greepeppers, sweet potatoes and peaches and spent another $10. It was an expensive week for me but now I am fully stocked up again on items I was running low on. I still have plenty of milk, lunchmeat, canned veggies, cereal, and everything else I need to get me through.

I felt sorry for the lady behind me in line because my cashier was kind of slow and I had a bunch of coupons. She was a sport and enjoyed watching because she said she never uses coupons!

8TH CONTINENT SOY MILK

If you hurry, you should be able to print this coupon for $2 off a 1/2 gallon of 8th Continent Soy Milk. This should make the soy milk around $1.

I was able to print from my three computers so I was able to get 6 coupons!

I'm sure this won't last long. Go HERE to print your coupon.

CHECK YOUR BINDER FOR THIS TEARPAD

Check your binders for the tearpad for Save $1 on Fresh Produce wyb 2 Kraft Dressing. Stack the $1/2 MQ with the $1/1 TQ and above tearpad and get an awesome deal on produce and free dressing!

CHEAP CREAM CHEESE

I noticed starting with the new ad Publix cream cheese, 8 oz. will be $1 each. That is a great deal for cream cheese.

Use the $1/2 TQ Market Pantry Cheese coupon and pay just $.50 each!

FREE QUAKER QUAKES

I'm back from spending a wonderful long weekend with my daughter and her family in Coral Springs. They just moved so we spent a good part of our time there unpacking boxes and getting everything set up and organized.

It still was a wonderful weekend even though we all worked hard. I took some time off from couponing because I didn't even have time to look at anything!

I sat down at my computer when I got home and boy there are some good deals out there to be had. I hope you still have the $1/1 Quaker Breakfast or Snack Item Target Coupon. If you do, you will be able to get FREE Quaker Quakes with this coupon alone. I know most of you probably already used the $1/2 MQ. I don't even know what these are but they will be going in my cart! If my daughter doesn't want them they will go in the donation pile!

Does anyone know what these are? I am assuming some kind of snack or cracker
