MY CVS SHOW AND TELL 1/30/12

The Lady Speed Shick deodorant deal was awesome at CVS today. They were fully stocked at the 312 Island store.

I was able to buy the following in two separate transactions on two cards:

Card 1
2 Deodorant
1 Irish Spring Body Wash
2 Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste
2 Heath Bars (just because I had to throw something else on)
3 Greeting Cards

The total before coupons was $15.73. My total after using coupons and a $7 ECB was $1.26 PLUS I got back a $6 and $3 ECB.

My next transaction:

6 Lady Speed Shick Deodorant
3 Greeting Cards

My total I owed was $.85 plus I got back another $6 and $3 ECB!

What an awesome deal! I paid a grand total of $2.11 including tax and got back $18 in ECB's!! This deal gets even better! Use the form from the 1/29 SS to send in a rebate for $5. I did the deal twice so I sent in a rebate in mine and my husbands name to get another $10 back!!!

MY PUBLIX SHOW AND TELL, 1/30/12

Would you believe I found some more Fiber One Coupons today? I couldn't let FREE cereal pass me up especially since it is really good!!

My husband loves V-8 Spicy Juice so I added another 4 to the stock to make a total of 14. That should last him about 6 weeks!! I also took the opportunity to stock up on original Rotel since we had an abundance of HOT ROTEL. Let me tell you, this stuff is HOT! Be careful how you use it!

This was my last shopping trip for the month (5 weeks) and I think I have spent about $140 plus my gas cards. I will total it and post.

My total before coupons was $48.28 and after coupons I paid $16.23. Even the cashier told me to pat myself on the back!

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS CHARITY DINNER

If any of you are looking to go out to dinner on Tuesday night, please come by Aunt Kates in Vilano Beach. My husband's firm, Merrill Lynch, is serving the food with all of the tips going to charity.

He didn't tell anyone about it because he thought I would promote it! And now here we are two days before and he only has one table to be a waiter for! I guess that means we will get excellent service!

Please help Big Brothers Big Sisters and come to Aunt Kates for dinner and ask for Art's section. I will be the only one sitting in his section! Please come and keep me company!

UPDATE: THIS DINNER IS NEXT TUESDAY, FEB. 7TH. HE GOT THE DATES WRONG!

MORE FREE FIBER ONE CEREAL

If you didn't get any of the printables or MQ's for the Fiber One Cereal, you have another chance!

In today's Smart Source there is a $.50 coupon for Fiber One. If you are a true couponer, you will have two papers, thus two coupons. Pair that with the $2 PQ from the ad and the current sale and you have FREE CEREAL!

Be sure to watch your sizes because not all Fiber One Cereals match the coupon.

MY PUBLIX SHOW AND TELL 1/28/12

We were out and about on Saturday and I had my list with me so I decided to stop at Publix with my husband (very risky) to do my shopping. I had just received an e-mail from my coupon buddy Margaret that Cobblestone was fully stocked on Phazyme and Sominex, both moneymakers this week.

I say risky because a bunch of other things usually end up in the cart when he is with me. He didn't do bad this time at all. See the jar of olives and cherry danish? Not on my list! I kid him a lot but husbands and kids are usually bad to go grocery shopping with!

I thought this was going to be such a bad week but the FREE cereal (plus overage) really made it worth it! This is what I bought:

4 Honey Nut Cheerios (FREE)
10 Fiber One Cereal (free plus overage)(use MQ and $2 PQ with $2.50 sale)
4 Smart Balance Milk (used raincheck)
2 Grands Bisquits
6 Rotel Tomatoes
2 Rotel Sauce (free)
2 Baby Carrots
3 Jolly Popcorn
Bananas
6 V-8 juice
4 Pace Salsa
Crumbled Blue Cheese
3 Limes
Potato Rolls
Cherry Danish
2 Franks Hot Sauce
2 Mustard
Green Olives

I had two $5 off $30 PQ's from the Vilano store and used three $5/$30 WD coupons. My total before coupons was $143 and after coupons was $23.98. My savings were 87%. Gotta love free cereal!!

I already have piles made to give it away!

I can't find my receipt so when I find it I will post as well!

CVS 1/27/12

I made a quick trip to CVS tonight and was surprised to find the nail clippers still on the shelf. If you can find them, you may want to do this deal. I also unexpectedly found an eyelash curler on clearance for 75% off or $1.25! I couldn't pass up that deal because my eyelashes can use all the help they can get!

I already had $3.75 in ECB's to roll so my scenerio looked like this:

Buy 2 Revlon Nail Clippers at $3.19 each
Use two $1/1
Use $3.75 in ECB's
Buy eyelash curler at $1.25

Pay $2.34 OOP and get back $7 in ECB's!!

This deal ends on Saturday so you still have time to roll those ECB's!

Of course I was going to post a picture but my phone cord that connects to my computer is missing! That could only mean one thing...I know my daughter is home for the weekend from college and she has it!

DID YOU PRINT YOUR TILEX $2 COUPON?

Cleaning the bathroom is not a fun or pleasant job. Using this $2 coupon from Tilex will probably make the job a little bit easier! Go HERE to their facebook page, like them and watch a short video.

You will then be able to go and print 2 coupons for $2 each for Tilex. Let's just hope we can get a BOGO sale soon!

FOOD LION 50% OFF SALE

Have any of you been to the Food Lion stores with the intention of grabbing some deals at 50% off?

Well, Margaret, our detective, has been there and has some updates to pass along. The store at Lewis Point is quickly emptying out. She said it was bare bones stuff there. It looked like it had been hit pretty well. If you are looking for Burt bees lip balms and lotion, head over there because they have that in stock!

The store south of town has been hit pretty hard as well. In fact, she said this store was worse than the Lewis Point store. She had gone it when it was 25% off and things like noodles and cheese were totally wiped out!

According to Margaret it is worth a look to see if you can find anything but don't be surprised if you see the shelves bare!

DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS IS?

This has absolutely NOTHING to do about couponing, saving money or anything sensible! Sorry for the fuzzy picture but do you know who this is?

I have always wondered what she looked like under all that makeup! Any guesses...

Well, it is....

JOAN RIVERS!!

Ha! I bet you didn't even recognize her!

I usually look for the kids cards at $.99 each = $2.97. Use the above coupons to get $1.98 off the price. Then you will get $3 ECB back!

A word of caution...the card says "Redeem at Walmart" but it is a MQ. Some CVS stores may not honor this because of that. I have had them take it with no problem and have had them denied. Even if they don't take it, use the B2G1 coupon and it still will be a $1 money maker!

If you already have ECB's like myself, do the following deal:

MY PUBLIX SHOW AND TELL 1/25/12

I hit Publix for the last day of the gas card deal because I just couldn't stay away! I still did not buy my kleenex so I put that on my list along with more toilet paper. You can never have enough toilet paper especially when you are buying for another household as well, namely my daughter in college. I think she eats toilet paper for lunch!

I was so lucky to see the Sundown Vitamins and I had two $1/1 and two $2/2 coupons! They did not have any green advantage flyers in the turnabout so I asked at the customer service desk. She gave me one and told me to tell the cashier to scan it twice. The next thing I was excited to find was travel size band aids. I remember this from last year and was able to stock up on these plus get a little overage. The coupon does not restrict size so you can use it on the travel size bandaids. They are $.79 each. I don't think all stores carry these so look for the section with the travel items.

The coupon is apparently not available to print any longer! I was waiting to post to make sure I could do the deal and now the coupon has been pulled! Keep looking for that coupon to reappear on coupons.com.

This is what I bought:

10 boxes of Kleenex (one can never have enough)
3 Angel Soft Toilet Paper
4 Sundown Vitamins
4 Bandaid (travel size)
1 Gas Card

My total before coupons was $46.83 before the gas card was added. My total after all coupons (including $5 WD Enjoy the City book coupon) AND GAS CARD was $49.71. That means I spent $9.71 for all of the above plus was able to get a $50 gas card for $40.

BEALLS INTERNET COUPON

While searching through coupons.com, I found this 25% off any single item coupon under zipcode 75034.

If you have been eyeing something at Bealls, print the coupon HERE and check it out. I believe you have to purchase it online.

Happy Shopping!

JANUARY MONTHLY TOTALS

I know I am a week early but I calculated my receipts for Publix for the month and have spent $619.28 of which $520 of that are gas cards! I was able to get a total of 13 gas cards in the two-week span they were offering it. The best part is my monthly total after deducting the gas cards is only $99!!

Seeing that the new ad pretty much stinks, I don't think I will be buying much this next week. (When I say that, I mean personally the ad is not very good for me). Even if I spent another $25, my total would be $124 for the month and it is a 5 week month!

Having all those gas cards is like saving $.50 per gallon! Get as many as you can!

Monday, January 23, 2012

CHEAP POPCORN AND RICE KRISPIES RECIPE

Jolly Time Popcorn will be 10 for $10 in the new ad. There is a $.50 coupon printable HERE and also a $.50/1 in the 12/11 SS which was not listed in matchups.

This is a great price for this popcorn! If your family uses a bunch of popcorn, take the time to print the coupons and buy as many as you can.

Also, Kellogg's Rice Krispies will be BOGO next ad. Check your binders for a FREE bag of M&M's wyb Rice Krispies. I have it in my binder! Then after you buy the Rice Krispies, make the following for your family. They will love you for it! (Hopefully you still have some chocolate chips left over from the sale last month!)

CHOCOLATE SCOTCHEROOS

1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
1 pkg.(6 oz., 1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup butterscotch chips

Place corn syrup and sugar into 3-qt saucepan. Cook over medium hear, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Mix well. Add rice krispiies cereal. Stir until well coated. Press mixture into 13x9x2 pan coated with cooking spray. Set aside

Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in 1-qt saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread evenly over cereal mixture. Let stand until firm. Cut into 2 x 1 inch bars when cool.

NOTE: Before measuring the corn syrup, coat your measuring cup with cooking spray-the syrup will pour easily out of the cup.

MARIE'S DRESSING

Time to get ready for the SuperBowl! Go HERE to print a coupon for $1/1 for Marie's Dressing. A coupon will be sent to your in-box. They are on sale this week at Winn Dixie for $2.50 so pay only $1.50 after coupon.

I think these run about $3.50 or so. I know we will be cooking some wings at my house! I don't care about the game, but I LOVE the commercials!

FREE PAPER TOWELS AT TARGET AND MORE TP

I was out the door early this morning to get some of those FREE paper towel rolls Target was giving us when you use the $1/1 TQ. Actually, I had to pay $.05 per roll because of tax!

While I was there I got 5 boxes of Market Pantry Mac-N-Cheese for FREE PLUS OVERAGE with the $1/1 TQ.

After that I ran to Publix to get more toilet paper. I bought 5 more packages. Make sure you look for the package that says 20% more. I accidently grabbed some of the packages that did not say 20% more and you could really tell the difference in weight. I also had to buy a enchilada sauce to get my total just over $30. I was able to use 5 TQ's and 5 MQ's and a Enjoy the City $5 WD coupon.

My total with a gas card was $55.49. That means I paid $14.49 for 5 packages of toilet paper and a can of $1.69 enchilada sauce!

(How do you like the stockpile in my garage? Doesn't the palm tree my daughter left "accidently" at my house give it a nice touch!)

FREE RAZORS FROM WALMART

I'm always taking a chance when I send my husband to Walmart, but I gave him the instructions and off he went. I had to work yesterday and he was headed to Walmart anyway so I decided to have him get the razors that they were so nice to give us with the $2 coupon. I wanted him to do a few more deals, but I knew I was pushing it with the razors.

I was pleasantly surprised to see all four packages lined up on the counter when I got home from work! His OOP expense was for the tax only which was $.48. Since that was all he bought, they adjusted the coupon down to $1.97 instead of giving him money back for the $.03 overage per coupon.

Thank you Art for getting me my razors!

PUBLIX SHOW AND TELL 1/22/12, PAID $6.49

Woo Hoo!!! Another 4 gas cards for a total of 6 this week! My total on the above before coupons was $106.79 and a mere $11.49 after coupons. You can see my total was $171.49 after adding 4 gas cards which is like saving $.50 per gallon on gas.

This is what I bought:

2 Kozy Shack Pudding
2 Cole's Garlic Bread
4 Publix Mac & Cheese (for my daughter)
6 Sambazon Organic Smoothies (all Free)
4 pkgs. tuna (paid $.50 for all)
Red Grapes (were $3.19)
2 Hillshire Farms Chicken Breast
2 Olive Oil
3 Method Dish Soap (paid $1 each)
4 Edge Shave Gel
6 UP2U Gum (all free)
John Frieda Haircolor (free coupon from mftr)
Distilled Water
2 Angelsoft Toilet Paper
4 Sundown Vitamins (free plus overage
1 Pork Bag-n-Season

The toilet paper is on sale for $5.49. When you deduct the $1 MQ and the $1 TQ you pay $3.49. The way to tell if TP is a good deal is to look at the total square feet in the package. Take the decimal point out of what your final price is and you get 349. The total amount of square feet in the package was 480. Those numbers should be the same. In this case it is way lower so that tells you it is an excellent price for toilet paper!

The Hillshire Farms Chicken was not out yet at the SR 16 store. They had to get it out of the back. It is on sale for $3.50. When you use the $1/1 coupon from HERE and stack with the coupon from the Find Yourself in Good Health book found in stores (or on Publix website), you get a package of 2 breasts for $1.50. It will make a good sandwich or topped on a salad in a hurry.

The price of the toilet paper alone with tax is $11.64 (minus $2 in coupons). If you take that into consideration, everything else I bought was FREE PLUS I GOT 4 GAS CARDS!!!

On the flip side, I was told today that I cannot use a raincheck past 30 days from when it was written. They had always taken it if it was a few months old. No more. They also said the orders will have to be split to use multiple $5/$30 WD coupons. OK...if that is the way you want to do it, I can do that also! It will just be more of a pain for the cashiers!

I DID IT AGAIN! While I was in the store my coupons fell all over the floor making a big mess. I forgot to give them my Target coupons for Method and Angel Soft. I will go back and get $5 back bringing my total down to $6.49 for everything shown above!

NEW COUPON CLASS SCHEDULED

If you are finding this blog through the ad in today's paper, welcome! My name is Judi and I have been teaching classes since 2008. I would love to have you come and learn the secrets of the pros!

A new coupon class has been scheduled for Monday, January 30th at 6:30 pm. The class is two hours long and will begin at 6:30 pm. In the paper it states the class will be held at the Sunshine Shop but the class will be held at my home. Please call for more information. CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED AND REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY! The fee is $15.

When people find out that I'm a couponer, I often times hear the old "couponers eat too many processed foods" argument. And try as I may to convince them otherwise, what they see on TV doesn't help my message.

If you go by what's offered in the Sunday coupon inserts, one could assume that we live off of lunchables, hamburger helper, frozen dinners loaded with sodium, and countless other processed food products represented in those Sunday inserts.

And I'll admit that there's a lot of crap in those Sunday inserts, but there are some real gems as well. Just recently I've stocked up on light tuna fish, real fruit juice, low cal salad dressings, pasta sauce, peanut butter, whole grain cereal, whole grain pasta, Smart Balance Milk, and many other food products that I'll proudly feed my family. All for pennies on the dollar. All healthy in moderation.

I'll even take it one step further and say that if you forget the food altogether, couponing can still make a huge difference in your quest for eating healthier. If you no longer have to spend cash on toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, dish liquid, laundry soap, paper products and a slew of other products couponers get for cheap or free, you can take that money and buy the fresh produce and meat that's so darn expensive these days.

So, where am I going with this, you ask? I believe that you can coupon and still eat well. I believe that couponing also helps with the non-edible items your family needs. Whether you are a family of one or six you can benefit from this class!

BELK SALES

Head over to Belk Department store if you have time this weekend. They have tons of stuff at 75% off and more! I was at the Palm Coast store and bought my daughter this Grey Pea Coat, originally $72 for $15.30!! I also got her black boots, originally $99 for $25!

The grandkids got some cute things too! I just concentrated on the boys this time buying kakhi shorts for $2.50, short sleeve button-down collar shirts for $2.49 for stripes and $1.49 for the solid ones!

When I can get it for these prices, I grab some things to give my kids to put away for next year. Our Belk had good stuff also, but the Palm Coast Belk was better. If you have time this weekend, stop in and see what you can find.

PUBLIX 1/19/12, SPENT $11.44 BUT SHOULD HAVE BEEN $4.44!

I was in Palm Coast today so I decided to do some of my shopping. OK...the truth is I did it in Palm Coast so I could put the 6 bags of Ore Ida Potatoes in her freezer because mine is full! She will benefit from it also because I will give some to her! I was LUCKY to find 6 boxes of Gas-X on the shelf for $7 in overage! My total before coupons was almost $54 and after coupons it was $11.94. I was able to purchase 2 gas cards. This is what I got for $11.94 but really should be $4.44:

6 Bags of Ore-Ida Potatoes (not shown)
10 Edge Shave Gel
2 Hellmans Mayo
6 Gas-X (for those of you who don't know, this is for overage!)

The potatoes were regular price of $3.75 each but I had $.75 coupons and a coupon for a free bag. I just realized while I am typing this I forgot to give them the
B2G1 coupon from the yellow advantage flyer!!! I don't know how I missed it! I was with my daughter and her two kids one of which is 2 years old and was crying the whole time in Publix! I guess that means I have to go back and get $7.50 back making my shopping trip $4.44 instead of $11.94! That makes more sense!

Looks like I will be heading back to Publix to show them my receipt and give them the 2 coupons from the yellow advantage flyer!

In addition to the above, I went to Publix a few days earlier and bought 10 boxes of Crest Toothpaste stacking MQ's and PQ's to pay only $.25 each for a large box. I plan on giving all of those to family members who don't have time to to the drugstore deals which is usually where you get FREE toothpaste!

UPDATE: I TOOK MY RECEIPT BACK AND RECEIVED $7.50 BACK IN CASH SO THAT MEANS I PAID $4.44 FOR EVERYTHING WHICH INCLUDES 6 BAGS OF ORE-IDA POTATOES WHICH ARE NOT SHOWN!

KELLOGG'S CEREAL COUPONS

In my in-box this morning I found a coupon from Kelloggs HERE for $1 off 2 boxes of Krave Cereal.

This is a new cereal so maybe we will see some sales to go along with it!

Thursday, January 19, 2012

GAS CARD DEAL

I received a comment about the gas card deal not being available in Palm Coast. I checked with my daughter who lives there and she said it is on the back page of the ad.

I heard from a little birdie that the gas card deal is going to be run MANY times this year! That is great news and something to look forward to. Save those rainchecks so you could use them when the deal comes up again!

FREE STARKIST TUNA IN POUCH

Everyone loves free. Free food, free makeup, free household items...I don't care what it is I just love FREE!

With that being said, this week is the week to stock up on Starkist Tuna in the pouch. Stack the $.50/1 RP coupon with the $1/2 Publix coupon found HERE, buy 2 and they will both be free!

Click on Weekly Ads and then look to the right and click on Find Yourself in Good Health. You will be able to scroll through the pages and click on the coupon and print as many as you want!

ARE YOU PLANNING ON SHOPPING AT FOOD LION?

As we all know Food Lion is closing its doors by the end of the month. Margaret e-mailed me to let me know she stopped by there today.

She said there was nothing left as far as meat goes. The equipment in the meat department room was gone and they had hosed out that room. She said there was some meat left in the case but no chicken, etc. Also on the front door they said they will no longer honor any Florida rainchecks, Florida coupons, etc, etc.

I think you get the picture!

All the Food Lion bagged cheese is gone and other crazy stuff like noodles. The people buying the noodles obviously weren't couponers! They still over-paid at 25% off!

I won't be wasting my time going to Food Lion to check it out. I am just bummed that I let 2 good rainchecks go to waste!

ORE-IDA PRODUCTS

I opened a bag of Ore-Ida Hash Browns a few weeks ago and they were all iced over. The expiration date on the bag was March 2012 so I knew I had purchased them recently. I had to throw them all out. Luckily I had another bag in the freezer with an expiration date of February 2012 that was fine.

I called the company to tell them about the potatoes I had to throw out. Let's face it...these things are not cheap! They sent me a coupon for a free bag plus two $.75/1 coupons for two other bags.

With the deal going on in the yellow advantage flyer right now I could get 6 bags of Ore-Ida potatoes for $4.57 or $.76 a bag. In order to do this, I would use all the coupons listed above plus a $5 Target coupon for buying 6 bags. Plus, just buying the potatoes would put me only $2.75 away from getting a $50 gas card for $40.

Just another way of creatively thinking about how to get the most gas cards! I don't think I am going to do it but I may give it to my daughter so she can take advantage of it!

CVS

I went in CVS today trying to use my two $2.99 ECB's that expired on 12/24/11. The sales at CVS have been kind of lackluster but I still wanted to roll those so I didn't have to start fresh OOP again for the new year.

I was able to get an Almay Eyeshadow and 3 greeting cards for $1.16 OOP and still got back two $3 ECB's to roll!

While I was there I noticed a lot of haircolor that was 75% off. Some of those were Clairol Nice & Easy, Clairol Perfect 10 and Natural Instincts. They were all marked $2.49

If you use the $1/1 or $3/1 coupon from the 1/1/12 PG, you could have some pretty inexpensive hair color! The shelves at the 312 CVS were stacked all pretty full.

Also, there was a good selection of Physicians Formula makeup on sale 75% off also.

PIZZA GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH

Are you looking for something different to serve your family on a weekend night with a warm bowl of soup or just something quick on those nights when you don't want to cook?

Why not try a twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich? These look so yummy and pizza and grilled cheese are two of kids favorite things!

Pizza Grilled Cheese

4 slices of bread
butter or margarine
4 slices of mozzarella cheese
pepperoni (I used reg and cut in half but mini size would be good too)
Italian seasoning or basil
Parmesan cheese (opt)
pizza sauce for dipping

*Warm a medium/large skillet over medium heat. Butter each piece of bread on one side. When skillet is hot place a piece of bread butter side down on the skillet then add one slice of cheese and small shake of Italian seasoning or basil (add a small shake of parmesan cheese here too if desired). Top with a desired amount of pepperonis (I used about 8 -10 whole regular pepperonis per sandwich) If any other toppings are desired, add now. Add another slice of mozzarella and top with slice bread butter side up. Repeat with second sandwich. When bottom slice is golden brown then flip over carefully. Once both sides are brown remove from pan cut and serve with pizza sauce if desired. Make 2 sandwiches

PUBLIX 1/17/12, SPENT $9.74, SAVED 82%

WOW! THAT IS CRAZY!

That is what the cashier said to me today when I went to buy just a few items at Publix. She apparently has not seen many couponers!

Since the Smart Balance Milk was such a good deal with a great expiration date, I went back to get a few more and picked up a few other things.

I bought the following:

5 Smartbalance Milk
3 Crest Toothpaste
2 Weight Watchers Goodies
2 Kraft Cheese
Bananas
2 Gortons Salmon Fillets

Again, I was able to use a $5 off Enjoy the City coupon because my total was $32.94 before coupons. After all my coupons, my total was $9.74. The regular price of the milk is $3.99 each. Not a bad deal for $9.74 for everything!

Beginning next ad on Thursday, I won't be doing many transactions. I know it is a gas card week, but I really don't need anything and will probably do just enough for 1 gas card. It is killing me but I really want to use what is in the pantry and freezer and skip a week. I have already ordered my coupons for Edge Shave Gel, Kleenex, and Colgate Sensitive toothpaste. Add oil and Gardettos to the list and that will be my whole list. I have to try to remember to go to K-Mart to get the $.99 eggs before Saturday!

FOOD LION CLOSING

I received a comment on the blog about Food Lion closing asking me if I knew it. The answer is yes, I had heard about it on the news the day it was announced. I also heard they will start discounting items 25% off beginning today.

I am very sad they are closing. Not that I shopped there but every once in a while they had some good deals like on chicken leg quarters, whole chickens, and produce. I still have in my wallet a raincheck for grapes for $.99 lb. and whole chickens for $.49 a lb. The problem is I don't have any room in my freezer for the chickens! I sure hate to let that deal go by the wayside!

As we get closer to the doors closing, please keep me posted of any discounts as they grow to 50% and more. I would like to let everyone know so that they may take advantage of the good buys.

At some point they will no longer take coupons. I am not sure when that will be but it we get a great discount, who needs coupons!!! Did I really say that!! Tee Hee!

COACH BAG FOR $99

Do you love Coach bags? Then head to your favorite retailer (I'm thinking Dillards) and check out this bag for $99. This bag normally sells for $328.

The only catch is the ad states "while supplies last" and who knows how long that is going to be! I guess it is worth a phone call if you really would like to have one.

Good Luck!

UNCRUSTABLES BLINKIE

Be on the lookout for the $1/1 Uncrustable Blinkie found in the freezer section.

These often go BOGO so if we are lucky enough we will be able to match these with a sale to get a great deal. Make sure you only take enough blinkies for what your family will use.

GAS CARD DEAL AGAIN!!

Whoo Hoo!!! The gas card deal is up again for next Thursday with the new ad! My advice is to buy only the good deals this week and save everything else for the ad beginning Thursday!

If you can, shop on Wednesday and get any rainchecks you need to use the following week with the gas card deal. Pull out those old rainchecks and use those also!

If you shop at the new Vilano Beach Publix, you will also receive a $5 off $50 Publix coupon to use next week and another for the following week.

PUBLIX 1/15/12, SPENT $13.70, SAVED 86%

I ventured out to the new Vilano Beach Publix today to see the new store and to use my $5/$30 coupon I received in the mail. I had heard it was going to be a small store and it sure lived up to the rumor! It was a very small Publix but very clean and well-stocked. It was almost confusing seeing every item faced and fully stocked on the shelf! Your eye isn't just used to that at every Publix.

I had planned on using my Crest Toothpaste raincheck for 10 for $10 and had my shopping trip planned on that with 10 boxes of toothpaste in my cart. After I unloaded them on the belt, I noticed my raincheck was for 6.4 oz. and the sale was on the 8 oz. tube. I had already figured in the overage in my scenerio and bought 4 Hefty Plates to accomodate the overage. Now that all went out the window. I still did good and did need the Hefty Plates anyway because I was down to three! This is what I bought.

5 Smart Balance Milk
5 Yogurt
2 English Muffins
1 Grands Bisquits
4 Smithfield Bacon
2 Oral B Toothbrush
4 Gas X (for overage)
Toasted Chips from Bakery (free)

I ended up having only $6 in overage instead of $13.50. I was able to use two Enjoy the City $5 off $30 coupons and one Publix $5 off $30. They allowed me to use all three.

My total before coupons was $60.79 and my total after was $13.70, a savings of $86%. As I was walking out the door, Tasty Cake was there handing out FREE boxes of goodies. I also received another two $5/$50 coupons at the register for the next two weeks.

They also had a coupon in the flyer at the store in the roundabout to get $1 off any Bakery Product.

SOME DEALS AT K-MART

Are you looking for cheap eggs this week? Then head over to K-Mart where a dozen eggs are just $.99 a dozen. There is a limit of two.

Do you still have the $10 or $5 Enfamil coupon? Then head to K-Mart to use that also. It is on sale for $22.99. This should make for a good deal if you didn't do the deal at Publix last week.

LOOK FOR YOUR $5 PUBLIX GIFT CARD

Do you remember when Publix had the Fitness and Nutrition Challenge? I entered almost every day in hopes to win the free groceries...instead I won a $5 gift card. Not that I am complaining but $600 in groceries would have been much better!

Be on the lookout in your mail to see if you won also!

TARGET CLEARANCE AND COUPONS

You might want to head over to Target to check out their clearance items. I saw 70% off signs in almost every department. I think our store may have more because of the remodeling going on because they are bringing in the food section.

I was able to get some footed kids pj's for $5.08 a two pack! They had plenty of sweaters and other kids clothes marked 50% to 70% off.

Then I went off to the toy department. While some of it is still 30% off, I was able to get some good deals on toys that were marked 30 or 50 percent but were really 70% off! Make sure you scan the item to see if it is marked down any lower! I would show a picture of what I got but they are all still in the trunk of the car!

Finally, head over to Target's website and click on the Bullseye Bodega Coupons banner on the top. These coupons do not show up in the regular coupons. I printed a $5 off 92 ct. or higher Huggies Diapers and $2 off 12-pk. Viva Paper Towels. These coupons paired with a MQ and a sale should be a great buy!

Happy Couponing!

ENFAMIL FORMULA

I hope all of you who have babies were able to print the $10 off Enfamil coupon. If you didn't use it at Publix this week to get $27 off 2 containers of formula, save it and use it at Walgreens the week of 1/22.

Buy 2 Enfamil Formulas at $22.99 each
Use (2) $10/1 Enfamil Formula Printable Coupons
Get $5 RR back
Pay $10.49 each after coupons and RR!

Fabulous price on formula.

NEW BOOKLET SPOTTED

A new booklet has been spotted at the Cobblestone Publix. "Start Your Year Out with Big Savings" is a blue pamplet with all Publix coupons. I remember this one last year stacked with MQ's and a sale made some good deals!

You can find it near the fron of the isle in either the vitamin or baby isle. It is in a cardboard stand.

It has also been reported that the Moultrie store has them also in the rear of the store. Make sure you walk around to find them.

I called the SR 16 store and they told me all their booklets were gone.

When you purchase $35 worth of participating brands in one Publix shopping trip between 1/9/12 and 2/9/12, you will get a $10 Publix gift card.

Now all we have to do is wait for a good sale to use these coupons. Let me know if you find any other books at any of the stores!

NEW $5/$30 PUBLIX COUPON!

I am sure this coupon won't come in everyone's mail, but be on the lookout for a $5 off $30 purchase Publix coupon ONLY GOOD AT THE NEW VILANO BEACH LOCATION.

From what I hear, this new store will be smaller than any of the other stores.

The new store will be opening on January 14th. You can bet I will be there with my coupon in hand stacked with my $5/$30 WD coupon and take an immediate $10 to $15 off my bill!

TOOTHPASTE DEALS

It looks like this is going to be the week to save on toothpaste.

If you are heading over to Marshalls (my favorite place), drop by K-Mart and pick up some cheap Colgate toothpaste. It is on sale for $.99 each and use the $.75/1 coupon from the 1/1/12 SS to pay just $.25 each.

At Publix this week Crest Toothpaste is on sale for $3. Use the $.75/1 from 1/1 PG and stack with the $1/1 PQ from the Special Olympics sheet that you get when you donate $1 to charity. I personally wouldn't pay $1.25 for toothpaste but if you need it and you are at Publix you might pick up one.

Toothpaste and dental floss are ALWAYS one of those things that you should never pay for or pay pennies for!

STEWART'S PRODUCE SALE AD

The new ad is up and is seems like a repeat of last week. I know they were overflowing with fresh broccoli and califlower from Sykes Cooper Farm. Maybe this week I will try cooking the cauliflower really soft and mashing it like mashed potatoes. Sounds different but it is supposed to be good!

The honeybells are as juicy as ever! Their season is short so don't miss out on these beauties!

Fresh, never frozen Boneless Chicken Breasts,
5 lbs. or more, $1.99 lb.

STEWART

WOW! $10 ENFAMIL COUPON AND PUBLIX DEAL

Run...don't walk to Publix if you use Enfamil!

Holy Moley! I don't think I have even seen a coupon in this amount before! In case you missed it, it has been reported over several blogs about the $10 printable Enfamil coupon on coupons.com.

If you know anyone who has a baby and they use Enfamil, call them immediately and tell them to print this coupon! Better yet, run to Publix today, Wednesday, with these coupons (print 2) and pair with the $7/2 PQ to get $27 off of two cans of formula. That is unheard of!

To sweeten this deal even further, this can go toward the gas card purchase of $25 or more. I think you may even be able to squeak 2 gas cards out of this deal! All I've gota say is it doesn't get better than this!

ANOTHER CVS BRAG SPOT!

Another CVS Show and Tell! Holly C. sent me this picture to tell me she spent $.81 on all this in picture. In case you can't see it, it is a 12-roll pack of toilet paper, milk, 2 deodorant, and 3 yummy treats of some kind!

Last week she sent me a picture of 4 boxes of hair color and a Loreal shampoo and guess what! CVS paid her $.79!

Way to go Holly! She is a perfect example of what we can do at the grocery and drugstores. I remember telling her she didn't have to shop at Walmart anymore and telling her the things she would get for free. I guess this picture tells it all! She is doing an awesome job! Keep up the good work!

Keep those pictures coming!

KELLOGGS $10 MAIL-IN REBATE

The Kellogg's Cereal Rebate is back and you have plenty of time to gather your UPC's. Many of us have plenty of cereal in our stockpile, so get out those scissors and start cutting!

Purchase 10 boxes of participating Kellogg's cereal before 4/30/12 and get a $10 Mastercard giftcard.

PUBLIX 1/10/12, SPENT $1.98 PLUS GAS CARD

The gas card was calling my name again! I LOVE when I don't have to go to the pump for months and use a credit card to pay full price. Now that I have my Prius with 48 mpg, I should be going to the pump a little less. But don't worry, I still have to fill up a Tundra Truck and my daughters car so they get put to good use.

I now have Prego sauce coming out of my ears! It will go to a good cause when I give it to my daughter to stock up her pantry. Not only did it help me reach my $25 total (or $30 for me so I could use my WD $5/$30), but it helps her out as well.

The Baby Organic pouches (Publix coupon from website) were also a good deal for my other daughter who has a son who loves them. Again, buying 13 of them and paying $.09 each, brings up my total. The Sunbird seasonings were free also. You could find that coupon on coupons.com.

This is what I bought:

2 Old El Paso Dinner Kits
6 Prego Sauce
1 Flintstone Vitamin
13 Organic Baby Food
3 Sunbird Seasonings
$50 gas card

My total including the gas card was $41.98 which means I paid only $1.98 for everything listed above!

Buy 2 at $6.66
Use two $1/1 MQ's from 12/4 SS
Use one $1/2 PQ from 1/8 SS

Pay $3.66 for 2 pkgs. of bacon. That is only $1.83 each. Take this opportunity to stock up your freezer!

SUPER TARGET COMING MARCH 25TH!

If you could only see the excitment on my face as I type this! I don't know if they are calling this store a "Super Target" but all I know is it will have a grocery section. How exciting is that!

Now the big question is who in the heck is still going to shop at Walmart when this opens? We already know you can get better deals at Publix with their sales and BOGOS than at Walmart with their "everyday prices". Let's see Target give Walmart a run for their money!

I hopefully will be one of the many to grace Target's doors on March 25th to see the new food section. Now we know for sure Publix will continue to accept Target as a competitor!

TARGET 1/8/12

Head over to Target where all of their Christmas is 90% off. I was able to get a few boxes of Christmas cards at $.70 each and the best find were the M&M's that were $.26 each!

Be careful because they are ringing up $.80 which is not 90% off. I had to call an associate and she told me to tell them at the front they were $2.69 each regular price and to take 90% off. There were tons of them left. OK...here is the kicker. They are cinnamon flavor. Yes, I did say cinnamon flavor.

I opened a bag while I was in the store to taste this odd choice of M&M's. Really...How many people would want to try that flavor? Apparently not many because of the amount left on the shelf. I had never seen that flavor before. I even let the cashier try them because he commented on them also.

Suprisingly they were very good with just a hint of cinnamon at the end. After you ate a few you didn't realy taste the cinnamon at all! They got my vote and 15 bags went into my cart for a grand total of $3.90.

Along with the M&M's, I got 6 Reach Dental Floss and 4 Advanced Clean Toothpaste Trial Size for FREE!

CVS 1/8/12

Be on the lookout at your CVS for deals on leftover toys, decorations, and candy. The store on AIA near 312 had all of their stuff marked down and I was able to get this dump truck for $2.75 and the battery powered one for $4.99! I know 2 little boys that will love these next year! The store at 312 was in the process of marking all theirs down so once it gets in the system, everything will be 75% off.

I also was able to get 8 All Oxi-Active Laundry detergent, 28 loads, for just $2.00 a bottle! I didn't have any coupons with me, but I am going to get those together and go back with my receipt to get even a better deal. Only this variety is ringing up $2 so price check it before you go to the register. I did the following scenerio at two stores. Rather than separate it all, I am going to list everything I bought and total up the receipts for my total paid.

8 All Laundry Detergent
1 Friction Powered Truck (my husband was excited about this!)
1 Dump Truck
4 Cups Mini Oreos
1 bag Candy Cane Kisses (marked down 75% to $.87)
2 Dove Bars

My total for all of the above (which was done on two cards), including tax, was $2.77 PLUS I got back $4.99 back in ECB's!! I had used several expired ECB's that I had to bring my total down plus I still have some left!

What a great haul!!

Saturday, January 7, 2012

Use three $2/1 MQ's and three $2/1 TQ
Total for 3 vitamins minus above coupons - $2.61
Alsou use $5 off $30 Enjoy the City Winn Dixie Coupon

Total before coupons - $29.79
Total after all coupons - $2.34
Add $50 gas card + $40.00

PUBLIX 1/6/12, SPENT $29.92

I'm always excited to go to Publix when the gas card deal is on. Who can pass up free gas? I couldn't pass up the Prego sauce deal for $.43 each as well as the kids Flintstones vitamins for $.94 each. Throw in the Muir Glen organic tomato sauce for $.04 each and the gum for $.09 each as well as the other good deals and it was a good week! This is what I bought:

2 Aunt Jemimah Pancakes
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (was $8.90)
Gallon Milk
Jello Pudding
12 Prego Sauce
2 Bagged Salad
4 Saltine Crackers
3 Tomato Paste

2 Tostitos Scoops
4 Up2U gum
6 Flintstones Vitamins (on sale 25% off for $4.94 each)
4 GAS CARDS (not included in total)
$1 donation to charity

My total before gas cards was $98.58. My total after coupons AND FOUR GAS CARDS was $189.92. That means I paid $29.92 for all the groceries listed above! I will probably go back and do one more trip to get another gas card.

A lady was behind me in line with a 1/2 gallon of juice and some firewood. That was it. I turned to her and told her she might want to pick another line because I had coupons. She replied to me "No, I want to stay and watch this"! What I didn't tell her was this wasn't my best trip!

After Publix I stopped at Dollar General and was able to get 4 bottles of All Detergent for $1.12 each including tax. I just wish I had more coupons for that deal. I will just add those to the 50 bottles I have in the garage!

PENNY SAVING HOUSEHOLD HINTS

PENNY SAVING HOUSEHOLD HELPERS...

***Marinate inexpensive cuts of meats in a mixture that contains at least one of the following: tomatoes, citrus juice, vinegar, papaya, pineapple, or beer. All contains enzymes that combat toughness. Then slow roast.

***With the cost of high-quality meat a pound of hamburger doesn't go far. Try mixing a few handfuls of crushed cereal or bread crumbs into your hamburger to make it go further. (This makes me think of Chevy Chases' brother-in-law, Eddie, in Las Vegas Vacation)!

***If you are not sure whether an egg is fresh, don't throw it our right away. Instead see how it behaves in a cup of water. If the egg is bad it float...If it's fresh it will sink.

***Do you have molded cheese?? Wrap a few sugar cubes in with your cheese. The sugar will absorb moisture.

***If you burn milk on the stove when heating it on the stove, add a pinch of salt to take away the scorches smell and taste....( I have so many times did this)

****A bay leaf slipped into a container of flour, pasta, or rice will help keep the bugs away.

***Mushrooms can get slimy when stored in a refrigerator, at room temp they seem to spoil or harden overnight. Control their moisture level by storing them in a refrigerator in a brown paper bag, or in paper towels.

***Storing you brown sugar in the freezer will keep it from hardening..

***Turn a tissue box into the perfect dispenser for plastic grocery bags....

***Need ice for a party? Use Empty Styrofoam egg cartons make great ice-cube trays when you need extra ice.

***Next time milk is on sale and you have room in your freezer, buy several gallons. You can freeze milk without affecting its taste or quality for up to 3 months. When your ready to use it, thaw in the refrigerator for 12 hours, and them shake to counteract any separation.

***When crackers, pretzels, or chips have gone stale, revive them by spreading them out in a single layer on a jelly-role pan or cokkie sheet and broiling for a minute. (This sounds like something I want to try!)

PREGO, CRACKERS AND GAS CARD DEAL

You had better print the Target $1/2 Prego coupon now because I suspect it will be pulled quickly. Pair that coupon and the $1/3 MQ from the Share Something Delicious book with the BOGO sale on Prego next week and you will get 6 bottles of sauce for about $2.49 or about $.42 a jar.

While on the Target website I would go ahead and print some of the popular items that go on sale in the month of January before the coupons are pulled. Some of these include $1/2 Kelloggs Special K items, $1/2 Kellogg's cereals, and $1/3 Morningstar Farms. Check to see if there are anymore that suit your families needs.

Also if you still have the B2G1 Nabisco Cracker coupon, you can use that and the $1/1 MQ with the BOGO sale of saltines and pay only $.38 per box.

Also, Tostitos are going to be BOGO next week. Check in your binders for the $1/2 tearpad that was available that expires on 1/8/12.

Also the gas card deal is up again so dig out those rainchecks if you have to!

FREE SKINNY COW CANDY AT CVS

Don't forget today is the day to use the B1G1 coupon from HERE to get Skinny Cow Candy for FREE at CVS. Just click on Nestle Coupons in the upper right corner and select which Skinny Cow Candy you want.

You will be able only to print the one you selected. You cannot go back and print the other variety.

Let's start the new year off right with FREE CANDY!

2012 IS HERE AND BACK TO NORMAL WE GO

After nine days of family and babies in town, I woke up this morning to quiet. No cartoons, no crying, no boundless energy running all over the house. Kind of sad. I will miss feeding the baby his bottle and listening to him "coo" at me. Couponing was put on the back burner and time with family was put first. It seemed like we never stopped.

2012 is here, family gone and our daughter heading back to college tomorrow. It's time to focus again on saving money and finding those deals at the grocery store!

My last trip of the year at the store was a quick trip after work yesterday before we headed to Palm Coast to celebrate New Years with my other daughter and her family. No time for pictures with this trip. I threw it all in the refrigerator and off we went! This is what I bought:

2 Orange Juice
6 Pace Salsa
Green Onions
Blue Cheese Crumbles
3 Yogurt
2 Oscar Mayer Bacon
Bakery Rye Bread
4 Sparkling Grape Juice
4 Solo Cups
2 Wet Ones
2 Emory Board

My total before coupons was $55.50. My total after coupons was $25.00 even. I was excited to get a deal on OJ and add to my stock of salsa and cups. Gosh, when I look at that list, it sure doesn't take long to get to $55!! I am sure glad I didn't have to pay that. In fact, I thought $25 was a little high. I guess when you factor in the bacon, juices and salsa, it's really not that bad.

Time now to clean out the binder and get rid of all the old coupons!
