MONEY SAVING TIP - FREEZE IT!

So, you have really gotten into couponing, right? But are there some things that you are passing on because you are afraid of them spoiling? Well, worry no more... here is a brief list of a few things you can freeze and how long they can be frozen!

•Avocados (YES! You can freeze them, so stock up when they are on sale!)

Just cut the ripe avocado in half and remove the pit wrap each half in cling wrap (or vacuum seal, if you can) and then place them in a freezer bag. Thaw them out over night and you have ripe avocados for guacamole, salsa, salads and sandwiches. Will keep in the freezer for 3-6 Months!

•Cheese Just toss the package of chees in your freezer and it will last about 2 months. Thawed cheese tends to be crumbly, but is still great for salads, cooking, grilled cheeses, etc..

•Liquid Non-Dairy Creamer Ok, you can't freeze this one, BUT it will last up to 9 months in the fridge! So stock up, but if you are like me, you don't have a fridge big enough for a 9 month supply of coffee creamer...

•Eggs Sounds weird, huh? You can freeze eggs for up to a YEAR, just not in the shell. To freeze them, just crack them open, drop them on a bowl and if you are going to use them for savory dishes, break the yolk and genlty mix in 1/2 tsp of salt per cup of raw eggs. If you plan of using them for baking, use one tbsp of sugar per cup of eggs. The freeze in a freezer bag or air tight container.

•Margarine To freeze, wrap tightly in foil or place in a freezer bag. Lasts up to a year.

•Milk That's right, you can freeze milk. It does expand when it freezes so make sure you leave room. You can freeze it in it's original container, just remove about a cup and a half to allow for expansion. It will last about 3 months in the freezer. It can go longer, but it can pick up the other flavors of your freezer. The other thing to keep in mind is that when you freeze milk, the fat seperates so you will need to shake before drinking. If you aren't crazy about drinking it that way, you can still use it for cooking and baking.

That's just a very small list of items you can freeze. I hope this helps in your savings journey! Keep on couponing!
