In honor of "Get Outdoors Day", the National Park Service is waiving entrance fees to its parks on Saturday, June 9th. That big chunk of coquina downtown is on the list:
Florida

Canaveral National Seashore

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument

Dry Tortugas National Park

Everglades National Park

Gulf Islands National Seashore


You'll save $7/adult(ages 16 and above) if you take advantage of the deal locally. The next fee-free dates are 9/29/12 and 11/10/12-11/12/12 for Veterans Day.

Thanks Kate! I think I will be sitting this one out. I have been to so many field trips here I'll let someone else enjoy it!
